Originally, my story's universe included a council that worked akin to a president's cabinet for Princess Celestia, composed of nobles from twelve noble families, in other words an aristocracy. Now, it's council composed of councilors elected by democratic vote. It's still a work in progress, but i wanted to get started on it. Like before it will be composed of OCs, some of which I have permission to use from their owners.

Born to the Lunar Pony colony of the Shetland Isles, Bloodthorn left home to enlist in the Equestrian E.U.P. as soon as he was old enough. Throughout his training, he was ostracized and derided by his fellow trainees as well as the sergeant in charge of his squad, simply for his being a lunar pony. More than once he doubted himself and considered quitting, when one day he accidentally bumped into Ignitus Enflame, the Captain of the Royal Guard. Seeing the young lunar pegasus looking down, Ignitus invited the young Bloodthorn to have a drink with him at a favorite watering hole among the royal guards.

Ignitus encouraged Bloodthorn to talk to him, and Bloodthorn finally let his guard down and told the captain how he'd come to Equestria to bring honor to his family and culture by becoming a respectable military officer to show just because lunar ponies were different they deserved to be treated with respect and dignity instead of isolating themselves from the rest of ponykind. He then told Ignitus how his squad and his sergeant treated him despite how hard he trained and studied and how none of his squadmates would train or work with him. Ignitus filed an inquiry into the sergeant as well as the trainees while having Bloodthorn transferred to a different squad to train under a more fair and open-minded sergeant, who just so happened to be a good friend of Ignitus.

Under his new sergeant's training and with a squad that treated him better, Bloodthorn finally flourished and came into his own, graduating with honors and going on to become a dedicated military officer in the E.U.P., rising through the ranks to become a General. He is a fair and dedicated warrior who, while stoic and grim, is actually a friendly and kindhearted pony who believes everyone deserves their fair chance to work hard and achieve their goals. He values character and merit over background and petty rumors, and has earned a highly respected reputation as a military officer and as well as a pony.

Bloodthorn is married with three wives, a husband, and five children, and is the head of his herd.

A teacher from Hooveston, Mellow Fellow is fun and loving, always wanting to see the bright side of things, while always willing to do something interesting and fun. While struggling in school himself he learned many ways to overcome his difficulties and now wishes to help others with theirs. His goal is for all students in Equestria to have an education and will do his very best to assist students in receiving a quality education. His drive comes from the knowledge that some children will struggle to receive a job and wishes for them to have an equal opportunity for success.

Astral Ink is an academic magic scholar who graduated with honors from Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns though he is somewhat disappointed in himself for not becoming Celestia's personal protégé instead of Twilight Sparkle. He's a quiet and reserved stallion who works as a magical researcher as well as a tutor in the School for Gifted Unicorns to pay his bills. Though not typically the most open or social pony, Astral isn't cold or uncaring towards other ponies' emotions. Deep down, he really enjoys when he can share refined conversations with fellow mages and scholars, as well as helping others improve their magical skills, including Earth Ponies and Pegasi whom he sometimes helps learn the discipline of Mana Manipulation (a magical art that anypony, not just unicorns, can learn to master).

He has a dry, sarcastic sense of humor and sometimes crack a small grin.

Wherever he goes, Astral always brings his journal with him to record his observations and thoughts. Whenever asked about the symbol on the front cover, he always vaguely mentions that he sees it in his dreams.

The one thing that never fails to light up his eyes is looking up at the stars and admiring their majesty. For that reason, he has an admiration for Princess Luna and loves the few chances when he gets to meet her. Although when others point out this admiration, he gets a bit embarrassed and flustered about it.
