Eight years changes a man. Who's still alive out there in my followers? I know I've talked to some of you on Steam - most of you didn't recognize me (which is good, since my user page makes me want to puke). I'm surprised I still haven't been asked to change my profile picture. I also wish I still had the source on me. By the way, another question - is this site still as bad as I remembered? Bad, as in... well, for lack of a better term, cringe-inducing?
As I side note, I'm feeling particularly embarrassed in that the act of using FIMfiction's text editor is making me feel like I'm recessing mentally to 2013 again. Although, maybe it's the amount of bad fanfiction I've added to my library? You be the one to judge on that, maybe I am just as stupid as I remember.

Also, I want to distance myself... well, at least enough that my actual name is not in the URL of some pony fanfiction site. I've (hopefully) grown out of that.

Most social platforms, regardless of the user-base, tend to reach an average when it comes to the people who access it. It's usually our own perspectives (such as our age) that determines whether or not things seem amplified in their severity.
As for me, well... I dunno. Fanfiction just rubs me the wrong way now. I get that a lot of the shipping on this site stems from concepts we wish for that haven't or can't be demonstrated in the show - I get that same feeling for other shows I watch too, which is for me a flag that the show has good writing - but then there's, for example, Dumbledore fucking Harry up the ass. One of my old buds dragged me into one of the site's local shit-posting groups. They don't really talk about MLP, and not everyone transferred over to the Discord server I use, so it's a good way of talking to people I haven't talked with in a while without having to add them on Steam or Discord.
And of course I was a loser back in the day. Self reflection is important, you know.
