A Suprise Treat for fans of "The Teacher and the Hippogriff" · 4:01am Sep 18th, 2019
So, way back in the day, I had a semi-satirical "bucket list" of sorts for Fimfic in my head. It had all sorts of little goals, a lot of which I've honestly met at this point, funnily enough, but somewhere near the bottom, around "get device heretic-senpai to notice me" (and later "get device heretic-senpai to stop noticing me") would have been something along the lines of "Write something worthy of making it into the Sweetie Belle Chronicles."
Now, full disclosure, I have not read the Sweetie Belle Chronicles... mostly because it has spoilers for fics I vaguely intended to read at some point, but, I always loved the idea of it. To me it was always a celebration of the creativity of this fandom and I thought the idea was just super fucking cool.
... I have yet to write something worthy of getting a SBC crossover...
...but me and Wanderer D have been working on something close.
You see, Wanderer D, for those of you who don't follow him, has a kind of... not quite sister story, but something similar in concept. Enter: Sunset's Isekai, a story about a wayward Sunset Shimmer running a bar that crosses realities to appear to those in need, those realities (mostly) consisting of fanfic universes.
At this point, if you've read the title of this post, I'm sure you can guess where this is going.
Sunset's latest guest is none other than our own Cheerilee from my little story "The Teacher and the Hippogriff." Me and Wanderer D co-wrote the chapter and you can consider it a sort of coda to Teacher and Hippogriff. After much blood, sweat, and tears, I liked how it came out, and if you're already a fan of TTATH, I hope you will too. If you're already a fan of Sunset's Isekai, I hope it serves as another solid addition to the work. If you're new to either or both... no time like the present to read something new. It's got heartwarming fuzzies, excellent advice, Advanced Dungeons and Dragons Lore, a slamming recipe for Hot Toddies, obscenely self-indulgent in-jokes, and other fun bits so, please, check it out.

I wanted to give special thanks to Wanderer D both for giving my the opportunity and honor and for his endless patience with me being a depressive sad-sack, and to Petricord, who had the unenviable task of copy-editing for anything I wrote.
