From the Notebook DC Crossover Idea: Doctor Fate

Here’s another idea I wanted to get down after a very busy day. It’s another DC Comics crossover that I don’t think I’ll ever try to work out.

This one is about Doctor Fate. The sorcerer supreme of DC. The Lord of Order. The guy with the fancy gold helmet.

    Help Finding a Story

I know it’s weird to post something like this in a blog, but I tried a group forum and got no answer, so I figured why not try here?

The Great Tabloid Disater: Deleted Scene (From Chapter 2)

This was originally going to be in chapter 2, and I’d written it to completion, but my proofreader, the ever-talented Setokaiva, told me it was unnecessary when combined with the other scenes, and I saw his point. So, I took it out and edited bits and pieces of it into the remaining scenes.

ATOTS Book 2 Chapter 3 will be up soon, and Patreon Tiers, Commissions, etc · 8:09pm Sep 17th, 2019

Hi, everybody. I wanted to let you know that A Tale of Two Suns Book 2, Chapter 3 will be up very soon. I'm polishing the final scene as we speak. So at the moment, we're looking at within the next few days or a week or so. If you're wondering why there's such a wide margin, well... I'm terrible at time estimates and I'm accounting for Murphy's Law chaos.

ANYWAY, beyond that, I wanted to mention again that I have a Patreon account, and to go over the tiers I've set up. As a reminder, you can always cancel your membership to any particular person on Patreon, or, in the event it's per creation (like mine), you can set a limit on how many times per month you get charged, though since I usually can't stick to a monthly schedule (otherwise I'd have gone per month), that shouldn't be a real problem.

Anyway, here are my tiers. I took the liberty of tweaking them slightly.

$1 per work/chapter: You will get your name listed on a special section of my Fimfiction user page, as well as early access to a given work or chapter a day or two early. This sneak peak could potentially be several days early, depending on what's going on and whether I have a particular date I want to put something out on, but would definitely be a day or two, minimum.

$5 per work/chapter: You'll get everything from the previous tier, plus you'll also have your name listed in the author's notes at the end of every chapter. This will only apply to the Fimfiction.net copy, as fanfiction.net won't even let me write the word "Patreon" without spaces in the letters, and I'm not sure about doing that for the AO3 and Deviantart copies.

$15 per work/chapter: You'll get everything from the previous tiers, and in addition, I will write a short story of your choosing. This story will be in the range of 1,500 to 2,500 words or so, but can be less if you want. Nothing M/R rated and the like. Details will be discussed in private. This will be a one time thing, and again, you can cancel your membership if you wish and move back to lower tiers.

$20 per chapter/work: You'll get everything from the other tiers, but in this case, you'll also have the option of requesting a medium length story as well. Same rules as the previous tier, with the word count range being somewhere around 5,000 to 10,000 words. Again, this will be a one time thing, but you can always go back to lower tiers if you want to.

I have a Ko-Fi account as well. Donations through Ko-Fi are in intervals of $3, but on the plus side, every single cent of those donations go right to me, rather than a cut being taken like with Patreon, and these are one time donations, with no subscription or anything.

Here's to the upcoming chapter.
