I'll get right to the point: I got a new job! 
While I enjoyed my previous work, it was mostly thoughtless data entry and wasn't even close to full-time. I have clawed my way out of the welfare trap.
Question first: Does anybody know what happened to Swift Blade Productions? I could've sworn when I trailed off that they were a rising audio reading channel. Now I can't even find them on YouTube.

A friend from high school joined up for our previous session of ROOT and asked for some tutoring on calculus. In exchange, she offered to to teach me about Dungeons & Dragons. Today, I built my first character.

I knew I shouldn't have playedSettlers of Catanwith my State Farm coworkers last summer!Worse yet, these campaigns I'm getting started in are set in the universe of Magic: The Gathering. I have really no familiarity with much of the stuff.
Thanks! I should mention: she also got me started on a premade character she developed, too. I'll actually be using that one sooner: that game will be Wednesday night. I got to sit in on some of another campaign on Saturday. I'll be joining that one, too, with the character I actually went through rigor to create.
