I'm pretty sure that I have mentioned the game Celeste on her before. And I will continue to do so, as it is a great game with a great story, amazing music, and difficult yet rewarding platforming.
And YET...
When I saw on my Switch this week that Celeste had gotten some free DLC, I was ecstatic and immediately jumped on to see what new story elements happened.
2781 deaths later, and oh my god. I do love a good challenge, but that DLC beat me over the head with the difficulty until I was ten feet under.
But I did it! I beat the hardest levels the game has to offer, and I did it without enabling Assist Mode! I feel so accomplished, yet so, SO tired. I...don't think I'll be playing that level again. Ever. It's just, nope. I love the story, and this was a great way to say goodbye, but I just can't handle that difficulty.
Has anyone else tired to play this level? Have you beaten my record and gotten fewer deaths? Have you tried the golden strawberry challenge (that ask you to beat the entire level WITHOUT DYING)? Let me know and have a good night

What’s celeste?
An game that came out...last year I think? It's a platform game similar to Super Meat Boy in some aspects, but has a much more fulfilling story and far better music. It should be pretty cheap if you ever want to try it out. I think it's currently on all the major systems and PC.
