Several of you have pointed my attention to the trailer for Kerbal Space Program 2. It was the final straw, so to speak, in getting me to buy a gaming-optimized laptop- the cheapest I could get, mind you, but it still set me back over seven hundred bucks.
And I just now tested out streaming with it... and, well, it's grainy, since 1 MB outbound is all the bandwidth I'll ever have, but the framerate is actually decent.
I forgot to turn down the native game sounds, and I didn't use a headset- only the lappy's internal mike- so the sound is shit. But here's the test video:

SO- this means there will be special video streams where I fly past CSP missions or future ones...
... or, just for fun, I might pull out the Jackbox Party Pack games and host some of them!
After a bit more refinement, of course.
Here's a cheap microphone you can use that actually sounds pretty good for the price.
5115415 I have multiple microphones, including a decent condenser mike. I just didn't bother using any of them for this test, since the levels on the lappy's internal mike showed so high. I neglected to consider that the speakers with all the game sounds were closer to the built-in mike than I was.

Alright this just means i finally need to get up and read CSP this week. i have read The Maretian and absolutely loved that but with you flying CSP missions i have to get caught up if i wanna be able to understand whats going on.
What, no boom? Actually, pretty good.
And now I'm reminded I should try to buy something from you to help subsidize the new laptop. I'll look into it.
And now I have to play KSP again...
