State of the Scribe: September 2019 · 9:02pm Sep 1st, 2019

Hey awesome patrons, supporters, and readers!

Biggest bit of news, First Republic will be coming to an end this month. Exciting little story had eventually wrapped itself up. It's been fun to revisit that world with a bit of a shipping angle, and I'm glad I got the chance.

Next, there's a commission project I'm currently working on, probably touching on some familiar TF boxes, that you can expect to see popping up next month. Pretty excited about it, but I don't want to spoil anything. There will be humans, there will be ponies, and beyond that I don't want to say.

Nothing else new this month, other than the delivery of the LPoE books. Printing is ongoing, and I'll be posting stuff from that as it happens. There were some bonus chapters written for that I'll probably get posted here as well.

This is an exciting and busy month for me, as I return to school for my final semester. As a result, I have some of my toughest courses coming up, and might have less time to write the stories with "extra" words. Those with chapters longer than 2k might start drifting back down towards that number.

Not only that, but going forward I may be reducing my patreon commitments as I gradually transition from a fanfiction writer to a professional writer of my own original fiction. Over time, I will probably allow story slots to slowly phase out as I finish them. I don't know when this will happen, but I'll make sure to contact the relevant people when it happens.

I can't be more grateful for this chance I've had to write fanfiction through college. When I thought work would take me away and rob me of this chance, it became my work instead, and I love it.

I will not be vanishing abruptly, but gradually transitioning to writing more original fiction than fanfiction, until all the stories are done and I haven't started any new ones. But no need to panic just yet. I've got some great stories to finish, and maybe a few new ideas before the lights go out.

Looking forward to seeing your stuff on bookstore shelves. Here's to whatever you give us in the meantime.

Is Mapping & Modding an alternate title for Homebrew?

Yeah, it's the working title that was first used on these Patreon calendars. I forget that things have different names on Fimfiction. X.x

Starscribe to write Five Score story! You heard it here first folks!

How the fuck do you find time to write this much a month and how hard is it for you to do so?

I tried searching for Mapping and Modding yesterday, and when I couldn't find it, I thought it was rated M.

Hah, yeah. It's FiO: Homebrew.

What is a 'TF box'? It's not a term I've seen before, and Google has been no help.

TF probably stands for transformation.

“Hand of he Ancients”

Knowing Starscribe, that's probably right. I wonder if this time it will be ponies into humans. :pinkiecrazy:
