She Talks To Angel S9E18 Review · 3:59pm Aug 31st, 2019
Oh lord if someone told me this episode's premise, I would not believe them...
This episode is a top contender for one of the best episodes of the season, at least in terms of comedy. Just, so much fun, so much humor. I can't even...
Angel relishing in being able to talk.
Fluttershy can still do The Stare, even as a bunny.
Angel claiming Fluttershy wants to marry Discord.
Angel acting like a spoiled teenager.
The entire subplot with Antoine and Miriam.
This episode was comedy gold and had me laughing my ass off. My only critique would be that Zecora REALLY should have told the two what her potion did, or at least included some instructions to read before they took it. But, hey.
If this is our last Fluttershy episode (and it probably is), this is a great one to go out on.
PS - Zecora knows about body swapping magic. HAH!
Zecora failing to provide proper instructions and documentation for her potions does seem to be a theme for her.
And for all that she called the two siblings, this does feel like a bratty teenager complaining because Mom got a new job and doesn't have time for him anymore, and it is great in that regard. Though it raises truly disturbing questions about the intelligence levels of Equestrian wildlife...
I agree on the comedy. And let's be honest, Zecora being vague about what her potions will do is kind of her thing.
Though there were some things that felt like a little too much of a stretch. Particularly the subplot with Antonie. I know snakes can swallow prey bigger than them, but I don't think they could swallow a baby elephant whole. And most snakes usually use their venom to weaken prey, rather than try to devour prey whole. Plus, as funny as it could be, Angel was even more of a brat than usual.
Though this isn't the last Fluttershy episode, just the last solo one.

Something tells me, sans actual research, that baby elephants can be preyed upon by pythons, but they would have to be comparatively larger than Antoine.
Which just makes me love him more. He's ambitious! :D
5114235 Maybe, though I think it would more likely be a case of being bitten and succumbing to the poison.

Pythons don't have venom, they're constrictors.
