Interview with Salty Ally

“Alright, now tell me my dear friend, what inspired your username?
Response: It comes from a nickname my online friends have given me, due to my rather salty attitude. Originally it just pissed me off, but I like the name a lot now.
“What drew you into Mlp?
Response: Not even gonna lie, I hated the fandom at first. One night during a storm I said “fuck it” and watched the first episode... I’ve been hooked ever since.
“Who is your favorite pony and why?
Response: Cadance, by far. She’s just the most “real” pony on the show so far, and whenever she gets screen time she is just so damn lovable.
“Favorite episode and why?”
Response: Probably Canterlot Wedding. There’s just so much you can do with that scenario from a writing standpoint that it’s probably the best episode to use in terms of worldbuilding and such.
“What inspires you to write?”
Response: I enjoy writing because it allows me to bring these stories in my head to life, and seeing other people enjoy my work inspires me to write further. Every time I see that someone has favorited a story of mine or one of my stories shoots up a few views, I just sorta swell up with joy because at least I made a few people’s days better.
“Tell us about your favorite story, and why it inspires you to write. It doesn't have to be mlp specifically!”
Response: I don’t really have a specific story I can point back to, but a few that I think sort of lit the spark would be “What is Love?” by Little Big Pony, and the Hive series by Law Abiding Brony.
“Give us the background of the author! Tell us all about you. Well in a short summary.
Response: There ain’t too terribly much to tell. I’ve been part of the community for a good six years now, and have only started writing in the past two or so. I’m a bit of a picky reader when it comes to stories. I’ve got four lovely doggos, and I’m currently on track to join the U.S Navy.
“With Mlp coming to an end, tell us one thing you have learned from your experiences, and how it has helped you to grow?
Response: I think MLP has helped me become a kinder person, at least slightly. The biggest thing I’ve learned from my experiences with the fandom would be to never let anyone try and bully you into doing something, or try and dissuade you from a particular path.
“Is there anything else you'd like to say?
Response: If anyone wants to begin writing, don’t be afraid to start, because that is the hardest part about writing in general. Once you get going, everything slowly starts to get easier and easier. But you’ve gotta start in order to get anywhere.
