200 Followers and an interview with FabulousDivaRarity · 4:27pm Aug 29th, 2019

Oh my gosh! I've hit 200 followers. I hope FabulousDivaRarity doesn't mind me rambling for a bit! When I first came to Fimfiction, I honestly never expected to get this far. I wasn't even sure I could write good fanfiction, but I loved the ponies so much, it just made sense to combine my love of writing with pony words. Now 19 stories later, a Celestia ton of blogs, you guys have always given me support, encouragement, and give me the will to keep carrying on, despite how hard my real life might seem. This site gives me hope. I love you all so much. So I can't say thank you enough, but ONE lucky follower is going to recieve a traditional drawing from me! I'm going to announce it in another blog, but I'm going to roll a dice, and one lucky fimfiction user will get to tell me what they want me to draw for them, and it doesn't have to be pony related. Alright. Now, allow me to introduce you all to FabulousDivaRarity~

Interview with FabulousDivaRarity

by Nailah

“Alright, now tell me my dear friend, what inspired your username?

Response: Oh Gosh, this was like five years ago, but I do remember that Rarity was my favorite pony and I always loved both the words Fabulous and Diva, so I kind of made a username out of all of them!

“What drew you into Mlp?

Response: My husband actually got me into it. We were still dating in 2013 and he told me he was a brony. He asked me to watch two episodes of the show, and at the time I didn’t really get into it, but maybe two weeks later I came back to it and I just fell in love with the entire concept.

“Who is your favorite pony and why?

Response: Shining Armor is my current favorite. Rainbow Dash has always been the steady favorite but occasionally someone else can steal the spotlight. There’s something to be said for a man who isn’t afraid of his emotions and is a good father. I really respect that. Plus I adore the fact that, according to the comics, his mom called him “Shiny-Winey”. It was the cutest thing I have ever read, and I just adored him from that point forward. A man in touch with his emotions who is loving and caring should be praised!

“Favorite episode and why?”

Response: This is tough. If I had to pick one, I think it would be Parental Glideance. I love episodes that elaborate on the backstories of characters, and since Rainbow Dash is usually my favorite, this one obviously holds a special place in my heart. But this was such an exceptional episode to me because it really hit home for me as a parent- trying to be endlessly supportive of your child, clinging to the past (as was detailed by the endless RD memorabilia Windy and Bow had), trying to build them into confident people. And how much we can be blinded to the feelings of our kids because we're trying to do that. Another honorable mention for this would be The Parent Map for many of those same reasons. But over all, it has to be Parental Glideance.

“What inspires you to write?”

Response: My daughter and my mom. My mom has always been a source of strength for me, and my daughter is my biggest inspiration, and so a lot of my stories come from experiences I’ve had either with my mom or feelings I’ve had with my daughter. I’ve always loved writing, but they elevated that love to new heights!

“Tell us about your favorite story, and why it inspires you to write. It doesn't have to be mlp specifically!”

Response: Oh goodness, that’s really tough because I’ve been collecting great stories on fanfiction since I was twelve and fimfiction since I was eighteen. I’ll go with one on fimfiction, though, to save time. I’ve read so many great stories, and it’s hard to choose just one, but I will go with “Pinkie Dinky Pie” By The Conflicted Writer. I love writing ABDL/Padded Pony fics myself, and have done several stories on the subject, but that story was so incredibly well done. It showed that biology doesn’t define who your parents are, and that the people (or ponies in this case) who truly love you will always accept you, and that’s a message I always strive to convey in my stories, ABDL or just regular. It was a big confidence booster to me in writing my own stories on the subject.

“Give us the background of the author! Tell us all about you. Well in a short summary.

Response: A twenty four year old woman and mom who is basically a shut in and spends most of her days writing on her laptop to do fanfiction and Role-play online. I love writing, watching Netflix, Apple Products, and being a mom. And most days I can do all of it at once, so it's pretty great.

“With Mlp coming to an end, tell us one thing you have learned from your experiences, and how it has helped you to grow?

Response: MLP has taught me many things, but the most important thing I’ve learned from it, surprisingly, is that many different types of parents can raise great and happy kids, and you don’t have to lock yourself into one thing. We saw super supportive parenting with Rainbow Dash’s parents, we saw Stricter parenting from the Pies, We saw nurturing parenting from the Sparkles, and softer parenting from the Shy’s. I learned that I could take a little from every book and add my own style to it, and it helps me a lot to know I have those options, and that I can switch between them and my daughter will still know how much I love her.

“Is there anything else you'd like to say?

Response: Thank you so much for giving me an interview, and I hope those of you reading this that have seen my stories have enjoyed them or been helped by them in some way! I recently posted my hundredth story, which was a tribute to all moms everywhere, but If you want to read the stuff I’m really proud to have written, check out the “Stories I’m Most Proud Of” box on my page!

Thank you for allowing me the pleasure of interviewing you, you have truly been a pleasure to talk too. I hope you continue being awesome.

Could you please start including a second link to the interviewee's user page at the bottom? I finish the article and want to visit their page, but the link is way back up at the top. Thanks.
