My Weekend, Everypony

Labor Day weekend. For some, it's on odd placement of a break in the school year. For others, particularly northerners, it marks the last weekend before school.

Well, for me, it's a day off in the second week of school. But, that's not all. This year, Dorian is coming for a visit.

I just hope he's a better houseguest than Irma. Not only did she trash the place, but her little block party shut down the state for a whole week. I still haven't gotten my street sign back.

Though Dorian is seeming to be a much smaller fellow. Chances are he'll trash and flood my yard. If he decides to play electrician, we may have some issues.

But, in all seriousness, yes, I do have a hurricane headed my way this weekend. It's a bit up in the air as to how it's going to affect my week. One professor has already predicted that the school may be shut down. I hope not.

I'm not gonna get the brunt of it, but it's looking like I will get something. Either way, I'm getting ready. My little overnight bag is all packed for a few days' stay at my parents' place--if need be. And I'm preparing all my reading materials so, if we are shut down, I can still get schoolwork done.

Yep, great way to start the new school year...
