Discord...fucking Discord. what he was doing in the finale, what he did.
Is that not close to what he would theoretically have been doing since letting Chrysalis live in his house in book 1? With Anon's entire point is to try to reform her and show her friendship.
Like, my god, I have the perfect work around. I HAVE THE FUCKING MOST PERFECT LEAD INTO AT LEAST THAT. I FUCKING DID IT, I ACTUALLY BEAT THE GODDAMN SHOW, FUCK YES! Even with this point, it could be worked in in some sense because Discord was the one who locked her in. It's goddamn brillaint!
Also, lol, Discord canonically revived Sombra in the show and in my story. how hilarious

I watched the finale subbed, so it could be wrong, but Discord was using Tirek, Chrysalis, Sombra and Cozy Glow to build Twilight's confidence. He never planned on reforming them.

Also I have felling Grogar was supposed to be a real big evil but:
-They didn't have ideas for him
-They were thinking that would be funny and people reaction would be like "hahahaha funnnny Discord hahaha" . Maybe in another show like Rick and Morty it would be but not Mlp
Also did you know that on derpibooru every negative opinion of finale is permaban for being a troll? But I don't know about Equestria daily
