My Sunset Shipping Contest Entry Drops Soon! · 6:17am Aug 26th, 2019
So, here we have it--as promised, an utterly unique Sunset/Rara story created exclusively for Oroboro's Sunset Shipping Contest! This story was a doozy for me to write, and it'll be a doozy to read--I'm putting the finishing touches on it now, but it'll probably be one of the most experimental things I've written, as well as my longest-ever contest entry (approaching 9000 words). Be warned, though--those trigger warnings are no lie. I tried my hardest not to go too intense with the content and to be as sensitive as possible with the material, but know that this is a story that covers childhood abuse in the entertainment industry. Nothing is terribly explicit, and it's mainly mentioned in conversation, but if you have any problems with stories about sexual assault or similar #MeToo topics, please tread carefully. Your mental health is more important than trying to read every Sunset Shipping Contest entry.
That being said, I'm hoping to release it either Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. I'll be flying to DC for some librarian stuff Wednesday afternoon (book/library nerds probably know what big festival is going on this weekend, but to make a long story short, it's put on by the freakin' Library of Congress and it's been a longtime dream of mine to go) so let me know when you'd prefer to read it. This story is a culmination of stuff I've wanted to write for a while but been afraid/not polished enough of a writer to go through with it until now. So I'd love it if you supported Ice Queen~
Wednesday is good for me, but when ever you complete it is good, too. Looking forward to reading it!
