Just a quick update on a few things today folks!
First of all, we finally found our new home! Lease has been signed, deposits made and more. You folks made the deposits possible, too! Have I mentioned that you are the probably the best friends I've ever had? And I haven't even met most of you!
We're taking ownership on the 19th and moving in on the 24th with movers and everything. It's a very different home than what we're used to. We may have to get a storage unit (there's no garage or large storage area in the home, so it's kinda weird). But otherwise, it's great. We finally did it... now we have to survive moving and packing!
A special thank you to all the Patreons. You folks are going to make this actually possible. Before this, I was terrified I wouldn't be able to make ends meet. But you made it happen. Thank you!
Second, as I'm sure you've noticed, Teahouses of Saddle Arabia is happening! So much has already been revealed, from Desert Winds to new locations, secrets on both Sunset's and Twilight's sides and a far greater world. Today is a special day, because a major player will finally be revealed. I hope you've been enjoying it!
There's a ton of stressors right now. But I'm slowly making it through. Family stuff's been hard. And I hate to admit it, but I haven't been able to write at all in any of my ongoing stories in weeks. I'm totally blocked due to stress. I'm too exhausted to write well. And it's frustrating as hell. But I need to survive the move, then work on that. One thing at a time.
Today is also a big day personally. Today I celebrate five years at my current job (even though the actual event happened a few months ago). There's an award ceremony I'm really looking forward to. Did you know I wore pony shirts every day my new job called while I was trying to survive my last months at Apple? Specifically, the WeLoveFine's "What the Muffin?!" Derpy shirt. Well, I even got a new one just for today! I'm kinda psyched.
Speaking of the ceremony, I actually need to go soon. I have a couple other thank you and announcements, but I want to take time to talk about them, so I'll do a REAL update post at the end of the month after moving and everything is settled.
And by the way, anything you could throw my family and I at this final moment would be a huge help. We're having to replace several pieces of furniture (a lot of it won't fit or won't fit well into the new home), so anything you can spare is appreciated. If you can't, don't worry about it, we have a few avenues to make things work, it would just be helpful!

And sometimes family stuff trumps creativity. It sucks feeling like you can’t create because you’ve gotta do RL stuff, and it sucks feeling like you’re letting people down. But RL has to take precedence sometimes. Keep the flame burning, and come back to things as you can—but don’t feel bad about shoring up RL when you need to.
