    Displaced

I can enjoy all the Displaced stories going around, but I kind of wonder how long it'll take for people to branch out more. Like, a displaced where someone arrives as a Pokemon in the Equestrian Wasteland from the Fallout: Equestria world. Or perhaps the world where humans are mindless animals and used as pets. Your Human and You, I think it was? Been quite a while since I've found any of those.

    Stories

I'm honestly a bit sad about a lot of stories never being finished. For example, there's almost nothing where Zootopia gets mixed with mlp. Wouldn't it be interezting seeing Judy Hopps and Nick running around Equestria? Especially when they come across Fluttershy? Then there's all the amazing stories that were given up on because the authors received a lot of people complaining about their work,

There are authors out there, including some that I know, who try going for that kind of scope. Yet sometimes, they either find themselves having to restart it or put the story on Hiatus because they don't have that many ideas.

Personally, I try to expand on different ideas and try to find a way to set some of my own stories apart from the usual form of 'displaced', however, it's not entirely that easy. Especially if you're doing it off of a world where it's either mentioned only once in the show or there's not a lot of source material on it (For example, I have one that's set in the Power Ponies universe). Of course, by that logic, it means that it gives you more time to come up with important details about that world. I mean, the character you choose might be interesting and all that, but if the world they're in doesn't... than it might not turn out so well. Sometimes you need to create your own set world for certain stories and have characteristics that make it different and stand out.

Sorry if I sound like I'm rambling, but that's what I think goes into something like this. I know an author who has a story set in the Fallout Equestria universe if you do want to take a look at it for yourself
