Okay, in Journey to Midnight Castle, Tirek is suppose to perform a ritual involving captured ponies, the Rainbow of Darkness, and Nightmare Moon, to bring forth eternal night. But since in JTMC, Celestia is in control of both the Sun and Moon, how can this ritual work? Any advice?

Yeah. That sounds really good. Plus, the ritual could bring forth a small army of shadow creatures (actually ponies that are brain-washed to serve Tirek and "enhanced" to be better equipped to do his dirty work) that capture Celestia (though NOT without A VERY respectable fight on Celestia's part) and slowly drain her power, which gets transferred to Tirek.
