Not great, not terrible.
In all seriousness, I think I mishandled the launch. I should have reserved some chapters to release later instead of all at once and with daily updates I might have been able to generate some more heat. It peaked at 6th on the heat list and might not have been too far from featuring. Ah well. It’s still a good story and I’m glad I wrote it. Thanks, those of you who read it, and those of you who haven’t read it are still invited to do so, as the comments have been uniformly positive. I’ll likely submit it for review later.
It's in my read later list. Do that's a + waiting in the wings.
The day you launched was very hostile. Not only was the competition strong it featured some of the biggest names on the site like Red Brony. Hell, one of the top stories was a destined-to-hit-number-one story about the Holocaust. That's like out Chernobyling Chernobyl as far as teaching ponies about humans stories go. This story stood zero chance of featuring, by no fault of your own to be sure.
As far as chapters in reserve go, Keep Him Busy employed that strategy better than any story I've ever seen. It's definitely something you want to use yourself, though A Gentleman's Price tried it and for whatever reason, it didn't work. I swear the front page didn't even update properly. Oh well...

Yeah, the front page was quite hostile, and you warned me off publishing, but I was too anxious to get it out and had already promised to release it. Lesson learned.

Thank you! I consider the story a huge success to garner that kind of reaction. I'd appreciate if you leave a comment to that effect on the story proper to hopefully entice additional readers. And give the HBO series a watch sometime as well. It's not a perfect depiction by any stretch, but it's very compelling.
