The title says it all! I have some wonderful news to share today. Though I was unfortunately unable to talk personally with 4Everfreebrony at the last BronyCon, I was able to get in contact with him afterward to ask permission to make some stories using songs of his as inspiration! What does this mean exactly? My original plan for now is to use 9 songs from 4Everfreebrony's wide musical selection to create a story. And I wish to be clear here, this is not a 1:1 representation of what each and every song means to everyone, or perhaps even to 4EVFB himself, but more a combination of the song, its message and all the wealth of emotions I have experienced through them and hope to share with all how read my stories.
I will most likely be starting with the song (and book title) called "Thought I'd Let You Know" which explores and alternative timeline in which after sending Twilight to Ponyville, Princess Celestia never responds to Twilight's letters to her. So yes, these stories will be sad at times, many times in fact, but I hope that each and every person that reads them will also feel inspired or hopeful at the end.
Again, this is not going to be a 1:1 of 4EVFB's view on the songs, I will make minor tweaks here and there to make a more coherent story. I will do my best to stay true to the overlying message of each song however. I hope to get a good outline for it soon, as I already have some strong ideas of how I want the whole series to go and I hope I can have the very first chapter of the first story out within 30 days of this post. After that, if I am being honest, I will likely have about 2 months between each chapter I release. If I end up writing multiple chapters at a time, I will not release them all at once, but stagger them out with the lowest frequency being one week between chapters. This is a sort of dream and passion project for me, I really wish to do it its due justice, and so I want to take my time, not rush the story, and deliver the best possible writing I can manage!
