For those who are wondering, I'm fine in Hong Kong where I'm visiting relatives. The protests and unrests there have severely disrupted my transportation at times (eg. yesterday I biked 20 kilometers so I could visit my grandmother in 30-33 degrees C because the trains were down), but I've avoided the protests and in general I haven't been affected. Honestly, the protesters are starting to piss me off because while I dislike China, the sheer vandalism the protesters are employing to try to get their point across and the disruption they're causing with no regards to the livelihood of normal blokes has gone too far.
In other news, I'm having severe trouble with my original project because I need to completely re-outline it. It's that vampire story I've blogged about before and I'm wondering if anybody's interested in reading about it when I finish outlining? Cause that will get me some motivations.

Oh boy, long story short short shortened. In response to a murder someone from HK did on Taiwan, the HK government made an extradition bill that would allow HK ppl to be extradited to China. Issue is... HK is in weird state of "one country two systems" aka, China, but not China. Ppl got pissed... and then they are continuing to be pissed to apply pressure on China to give HK democratic elections and other stuf... in crazy ways like blocking train doors from closing, throwing obstacles onto trains, sabotaging traffic lights, throwing and slingshotting things at police... etc.

The affair in Hong Kong's a big mess, while I understand the need for them to protest, I'd rather that they vandalise strictly government property rather than public so that at least normal bystanders will be safe.
You stay safe now, dont know what else can happen considering that China said that its thinking of doing something about it.
China's had a terrible track record with human rights and you'd rather not be caught in the middle of it... Stay safe, Vren.

Issue is the protestors also messed with traffic lights... so there've been a few car crashes because of that. I'll stay safe, as I'm sticking very close to transportation hubs and avoiding going out on weekends. Thanks though
