On the Final BC and Aftermath · 3:19am Aug 6th, 2019
I am happy.
I am sad.
Sad due to this being a oh-so-possibly "final" easy-to-get-to con for me to attend. I mean that legit, too, I live (as writing this) about a 2 hour drive from Baltimore itself. (Fredrick, actually) And if you've been within earshot of me in a Discord server or whatever, you'll know that despite working 2 jobs and nearly 6 days a week, fund are perpetually tight and thus it makes a simple in-state travel hard much less cross country travel.
BUT! BUT BUT BUT! I'm mostly happy.
As this fanbase has clearly shown not but a month ago, such a thing is not exactly impossible. So who knows? Maybe Babs, maybe Everfree. We'll sure as hell see, won't we?
After all, to quote Shakespearacles, I'm not getting off until the wheels fall off, then we PUSH.
I have so many to thank, so many to shout out, it's kinda overwhelming. Normally I have had, in the past, trouble recounting who I met and saw... Not this time.
And if you encountered me, you know exactly why.
I'll get into that later on, but for now have this to tide you over.
I also have a Twitter. Made it for easy access to my pictures. Or at least such is the plan. We'll see. Very least I'll link to the relevant posts.
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go take pictures of my swag. And I mean all of it. This was the last hurrah for BC, right? Why not showcase all I ever got from the 5 years I went?
...Wow. 5 years. Sure as hell doesn't feel like it, yeah?
...I should also revamp my "pony wall" while I'm at it.
See you in a later blog post.
And... To those who made this possible for me? Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have no idea how much this means and meant to me.
See you all later, safe travels.

Note: Scribbler think's you're lovely ;P
It was an honor to meet you at this final Bronycon. I'll consider Everfree Northwest for next year. Whispers I heard while at the convention said apparently they moved to a bigger venue for 2020 and also around this same time of year to sort of step into the vacuum where Bronycon was. Though I was honestly considering taking a year off and saving money but I'll think about it.

Looking at my badge ribbons, it has them set up as the following:
"REEEEEEEEEEEEEE"
"Scribbler thinks I'm lovely"
and... And I kid you not on this
"Yikes"
It's honestly seriously amusing.

As was to you as well... Even though I think I saw you, what, just under 5 minutes?
Every year the same thing: a whirlwind of people, scents, sounds, and emotions!

I'm considering EFNW. No promises.
I am in the same boat, regarding easy to get to cons and tight money and responsibilities. I'm toying with a number of ideas, including maybe a local-ish FiMfic meet-up at the Maryland RennFest, a con someone is trying to get off the ground in Ocean City (Seaquestria, which is tiny right now, but seems to realize it and is trying not to overshoot, which is a good sign?), and maybe trying to wrangle my way to TrotCon or Everfree NW.
If I make it to TrotCon I'll probably be solo and driving right through your neck of the woods. I already promised to kidnap Axis of Rotation, so I could probably spare a seat if everyone promises to pack light.

I only pack a single bag. It's the bigger of the travel set my grandmother owns, but it's only one.
Plus I can officially drive again as of Oct. of last year so it might be a good idea, too.

If that's the way plans are going, I'll keep you in the loop!
It was a blast as always, Skeetster.

Hell, yes.

Please do!
~Skeeter The Lurker
Sorry I missed you this year man. Social anxiety really got the best of me for this con. But I'm glad you had a good time!

I did see you for a fraction of a second, so, there's that, right?
~Skeeter The Lurker
woo!
I'm so glad we got to meet up, brief though it was .
Glad you had a great time. Maybe one day I'll get to another con somewhere, but it really seems like 2019 was the year to be there.
You and I both attended Bronycon and I STILL didn't fight you.
You realize of course this means war.

I'm so pleased we got to hang out. :) Of all the people I met there, I think you're the one who was most like I expected you to be, which is to say a ubiquitous ball of energy.

Anyway come to Trotcon :D
I'm super, super happy that I tipped you off about the feghoot duel thing, because you got to be one of the three people privy to that.
And, well, I'm never gonna stop smiling about a certain triumphant moment I will forever treasure in my heart
And you were part of that tiny but special moment, which just makes it so much better

That alone would have made the whole trip worth it.
The reaction alone was easily amazing!

Scribbler thinks you're fabulous.
A pleasure as usual, Skeet.
'twas good to meet up, you're a fun guy to talk to.
It was always awesome meeting you, Skeeter, and this time was no exception.
Ah, my friend! I was not able to catch up with you again after our initial meeting, quite sorry.
Frederick, huh? You don't live all that far from me, in the grand scheme of things.
Was stuck at table so I didn't get to find you but glad you got to enjoy the con. Hope to run to run into you at another con in the future.
