I imagine in the final days (year? Month? Week?) of the human race's existence in the Not Just Ponies' setting, with the Veil now CLOSING IN, perhaps at the point where mass transformations, with no time to ease people into their new species, become unavoidable due to procrastination and simply LOGISTICS of humanity's population, a final potion appears on the menu ... created by Discord... a draconequus potion, with a VERY limited amount of it coming into existence.
And Discord watches humans fight over what little he's been able to create like "hobos fighting over a bottle of hooch in a train car." And the ponies' and other creatures all been too frantic in transforming every willing subject they can (with the PER at this point becoming a lower priority since they simply don't have time to deal with them) besides maybe some of our heroes, to keep the power of a spirit of chaos from falling into the wrong hand. Maybe Discord only created one, to serve as EARTH'S spirit of chaos, the way that he serves as Equus' spirit of chaos (and his relatives all serve as spirits of chaos for different worlds).
Seems dangerous. If everyone knows how powerful Discord is, then it will become an incredibly deadly Highlander situation. The winner is likely to be someone incredibly ruthless and bloodthirsty.
