A Series of Great Ideas (Or Not): WHY? · 1:40am Jul 30th, 2019
This story is crazy.
Shining Armor and Flam wake up in bed together, having kidnapped Apple Bloom without any memory of doing such, and go on a quest to restore their memories and set things right.
Along the way, they make some friends, some enemies, and learn a thing or two about themselves and each other. All while going on an over-the-top, absolutely crazy adventure of deception, love, and trying their best (though that often fails).
Why did I write this story? Honestly, I wanted to write SOMETHING. I had no idea what that something was, but I wanted to write. Now, way back in the day, I wrote a story called "Flurrysitting 101," and I remembered how much I enjoyed writing (panicked) Shining Armor. So, thoughts of the character floated in my head, and, while I was going to bed one night, the idea for "A Series" hit me. At first, I just brushed it off. But the next morning, the idea came back. And then it just keep coming, so I knew I had to write it.
Also, I love writing comedy. My last story, "The Table Set," was very realistic and full of drama and heart, so there wasn't much room for comedy. This gave me a chance to write some jokes, some slapstick, give characters goofy lines and actions, stuff like that, while also incorporating that same drama and heart from before. Plus, I've NEVER written something this random before, and I wanted to give it a go!
I'll be writing more blogs for this story as time passes. For now, just check it out! There are nine chapters currently up, and chapter 9 is easily my favorite thus far. I've been putting my heart into this story, and I hope everyone enjoys it and has as much fun reading it as I do coming up with it and writing it.
