Unlike most of the writers on Fim I don't tend to make blog posts too often, if I do at all. I generally fall in the 'write more, talk less' category and I believe the last blog post I made, was roughly two years ago and this one will be going into a few things outside what the title says.
While I've got no problem talking (just more on the quiet side I suppose) and frankly would greatly enjoy conversations with all or any of my readers whether they be follower or not- things have been busy on my end hence one of the reasons I make this post at all. For those of you that may notice I've been online now and again I tend to do quite a bit of reading on here when I'm not busy either writing, working, or dealing with the disorder of life in general. Recently I decided to try and get some stories out again- as I felt this account would suffocate if I didn't try to put something up and I feel better for having done it. There's a bunch of stories I plan on getting out to you all (eventually) and collabs I've got going with R. Pone (Rated Ponystar) once I'm in a more suitable environment. But as of now my options are a tad limited till I can get my desktop running again or a new laptop, I will be stuck making posts on a Android. So please bare with me when I say some updates will be...late.
There's other stories on here like A Long Journey Ahead and Tick-Tock, The Bet Is Up that I've left in hiatus for awhile now and if I'm able to, I'll try to get back to those but I make no promises on when- just a promise that I'll try.
The second thing I wanted to address was the Chaosverse. I got asked I believe a three days ago about it somewhere in my comment section and thought I'd answer Starlight Nova's question here.
The Chaosverse is, like any verse, more or less an AU but one that deals more heavily with Greek undertones in which major characters like the Mane Six, Spike etc- separate completely from how the show begins in Seaosn 1 among many other phenomenal changes I am gradually working into the universe.
The Drought- my most recent story is a good example of this. Outside of it being an experiment for a different style, it was also my way of showing a different Tirek and Scorpan- while trying to maintain the show's theme.of them overall. The historic moments in Equestria / other parts of the world- that differ from what is canon are the ones you may often see me post on. I don't plan making any stories for the Chaosverse that copies or replicates what is already in the show but I do plan on touching on some episodes in some stories.
For example: three of the Mane Six will be changing races: Fluttershy, Pinkie, and Twilight won't be the same races they are in the series.
Spike (who is actually born before Twilight) doesn't start out raised by Twilight and her family.
Sunset Shimmer never leaves Equestria, and Nightmare Moon is actually viewed as a benevolent aspect of Princess Luna in present society in some parts of the continent prior to The Fall.
As a side note to conclude, just in case you're also wondering, no the citizens that see Nightmare Moon as good aren't crazy or part of a cult to overthrow Princess Celestia. And no, Princess Celestia does not manipulate the masses over the course of a thousand years to get some small part of the continent. Its actually a fact in this universe that some did and still do see Nightmarw Moon as good, at least until the whole overthrow the diarchy part.
These are just a few things I've developed for the Chaosverse, with a lot more to come.
