Did I mention I'm going to Bronycon? 'cause I'm going to Bronycon. · 3:26am Jul 21st, 2019
I mean, otherwise, what the hell am I supposed to do with these?
That's right, there will be a whopping ten (10!) copies of The Flash Sentry Papers for dead-tree purchase at Aquaman's Bronycon Bookstore. (That is, if he still lets me in). I'd take more, but ... well, I've only got so much room in my suitcase, and nobody likes Flash Sentry anyway. But I digress. Still! If you're one of those weirdos who wants to possess an anthology of The Prisoner of Zebra, Carrot and Stick, Sentry at the Charge, and Octavia's Eleven, then ... well, prepare yourself. And also bring some cash moneys I suppose.
So, uh ... speaking of BronyCon ... what the heck is one supposed to DO there? I mean, I'm looking at the schedule, and ... like, half of it seems to be random gaming stuff? Like, sure, Ponyfinder's fun enough, buuuut ... yeah. Maybe I just need to look into things further. Like, I'll be happy to hit up a Lauren Faust panel, or some Voice Actor stuff, or ... yeah. Maybe it was just easier to figure stuff out when I went to EFNW last year and just hit up all the fanfic panels.
Or maybe I'll just hang around the Quills & Sofas lounge (wherever that is) and get whiskey-drunk and pick a fight with Aragon or something. I mean, I'm pretty sure I could take him. I don't want to fight him, but I'm pretty sure I could if I needed to. Though I'd rather talk about Arturo Perez-Reverte or something instead.
But still! Less than two weeks! Who should I expect to fight see while I'm there?
It won't be a fair fight. Aragon's a lightweight, I could barely get him to drink a single beer.
Also, he's pocket sized.
Bar crawling and hanging out at Quills & Sofas and the general area is how I get through BronyCons. Also occasionally hanging out in the adult-content hall, drinking a lot of gimlets, and laughing at the nonsense.
There are usually enough fanfic centric panels to keep a body occupied in between all that. Haven't looked at the schedule yet. Wonder if Bad Horse is doing another session of 'And That's How Equestria Was Made'?
[After looking, if he is, it isn't listed.]
Bronycon's schedule is terribly laid out, honestly. Especially the online version. There will probably be a decent amount to do, but even more so than other fandom conventions I've been to, the primary activity is hanging out with other people.
Also, only ten copies? Dang. Glad I'm getting there nice and early to make sure I get my copy.
Um...demand to see Life’s manager, make Life rue the day it met you, get your engineers to make the books combustible, and burn Life’s house down with your Book Grenades?
May you sell out in a flash!
I'll let you know, I'm quite capable in a fight, as long as i have the element of surprise and three of four more guys with me.
That aside -- honestly, at BC you just hang out with people in my experience. Come say hi! It's easy to find me; I'll be the tiny spaniard yelling and buzzing around constantly.
