Dear people that have been partaking in the Cameron Boyce challenge, epilepsy and seizures are not a joke. Epilepsy is a serious disorder and seizures can be dangerous and for some, life-threatening. Also making a joke out of someone's death in general is just disgusting. When I heard about this, it honestly brought me to tears. I'm glad the creator of this monstrosity and disgrace has brought it to an end and for those few lurking posts, find them and report them. Epilepsy is never a joke and should be taken seriously. By taking part in something like this, you are demeaning people with this disability and telling them they aren't valid or worth it and that they don't matter and that's never okay. I'm disappointed in so many people for thinking this was okay. People with epilepsy deserve respect just like anyone else, our lives aren't less meaningless than people without the disorder. Please think before you make fun of something someone can't necessarily help all the time. Believe me, some people can control it by means of medication or diet, but others can't. Just keep that in mind next time you try to pull something like this. It's honestly disgusting and an apology means the world, but you shouldn't have done it in the first place. Epilepsy is not a joke, so don't treat it like one. Thank you. Also, in support, I suggest donating to an epilepsy foundation for where you live to help others living with the disorder.
Some People are just stupid
I never heard of this Cameron Boyce challenge but it sounds downright awful. From everything you are describing, it sounds like it is something to belittle and make fun of those with epilepsy. As an individual with epilepsy, I can tell you all too well how horrible people with the disorder are treated. When I was growing up, the popular kids often times said right to my face that they wished I would have a seizure and die.....true trash, nothing but pure trash in my eyes. Bad thing is, back when I was 29, I actually did have a cluster seizure and coded. Luckily the worst one happened when I was in the hospital. Had it happened when I wasn't, I wouldn't be here to be typing this.
For you an apology may mean the world but to me, those who make fun of those with epilepsy and wish death upon us are scum for life in my opinion. About this challenge, what is it all about anyway?
Coming from a guy who has Epilepsy and get seizures (albeit rarely these days) I find this disgusting and insulting. Epilepsy is no joking matter of any kind. Those who make fun of it without knowing a single thing about it are sick and twisted human beings. To all who read this post: Donate to the Epilepsy Foundation and learn the truth about what the risk you are really getting into. Never have seen such a blatant attack so stupid as this. Ugh! Those kind of people disgust me.
I never heard of this challenge, never heard about Cameron Boyce until his death but read a bit about it, and indeed this challenge sounds awful and distasteful. I'm glad it's ended.
I haven't heard of that challenge as of yet but the only way for this stupid people to know this is not meant to be hilarious is when it ethier happens to a loved one or the person in particular I understand where your judgement comes from and I agree with you one hundred percent hell maybe even a thousand but you can't change human nature people will be people I surely hope there time will come and I will wonder how the feel if they get this known disease and people laugh at them
