My Little Pony Season 9 News 06/18/2019 · 12:05pm Jun 18th, 2019

You've had some good moments this season, Spike. Don't get 'greedy'.

GOOD MORNING, FIMFICTION FANATICS!!! This is the Dramamaster829; Critic, Actor, Writer, Motivational Speaker, and Occasional Singer, keeping you up to date with the latest news for the final season of MLP! Some two days ago, the FIM fandom has started to learn about how the second half of the final season will proceed when several episode synopses began to pop up on the web. But today, 'three' episode plots have been posted to get the fans pumped for what's to come for the new season and so at this time we prepare to further examine what each of these episodes have to offer. Note that just because they have titles doesn't mean anything is official, so until we know for sure I'll be focusing more on the brief summaries for each of the episodes at this time.

Our first plot line will have Twilight Sparkle determined to retaining her Trivia Trot winning streak alive and if we know Twilight, given how often she spends her days with her muzzle stuck in a book or how often she studies even on duty, this little 'Trivia Pursuit' thing they got going on is right up her alley (Probably a reference to Hasbro to promote one of their trivia games or something). Anyways, that streak may prove to be in jeopardy as she finds herself partnered with Pinkie Pie who, surprise-surprise, has never taken part of trivia night before.... *Feigns shock* Oh no... *Serious* All joking aside, we can't deny this is a common problem the show has with Pinkie being they are so determined to portray her as energetic, random, and weird, some fans accuse the crew of making Pinkie look 'stupid' or in a nicer word 'silly' just for a few laughs and ONLY because Pinkie is supposedly the comic relief of the team. But over the years, there has been some occasions where Pinkie has proven to be 'smarter' than she makes herself out to be whether it's finding a book Twilight needed in order to find the 'Elements of Harmony' WAY back in Season 1 or that one time Pinkie was able to find out Cranky was looking for Matilda based on 'tiny' hints and clues she uncovered in her attempts to befriend him, just to name a few examples. So naturally Pinkie Pie 'does' know how to find some answers but her methods just aren't the same as Twilight Sparkle (Though I worry it be like the episode where it takes Twilight till the end to learn how Rainbow Dash manages her studies when that big test was going on) and while it would be easy for the moral to once again be 'never underestimate your friends' or 'every pony's method is different' I think Twilight needs to learn she can't always keep things the same as before so there'll come a time she will have to let things go in order to really 'enjoy' the experience (Something that actually would've made 'The Last Crusade' be as much an impact on the show as that Season 5 CMC episode).

Moving on, we apparently have another Twilight Sparkle centered episode (Suddenly she's becoming Ms. Popularity) as she's also determined to ensure Celestia and Luna's supposed 'last' Summer Sun Celebration is memorable. For me if this episode is anything like when Applejack was determined to have a good Apple Family Reunion, I can't shake this feeling just how Twilight will start getting carried away when things start to go horribly wrong. This episode is definitely making an effort to retain the theme of 'all good things coming to an end' and while Twilight Sparkle understands just how important this celebration is having witnessed it for herself as a filly (Note that Season 1 episode for a reference), I cannot shake the feeling this is an episode where it's all about living the moment and not so much making everything perfect. But if we all know how her 'twilighting' gets in the way of seeing the big picture, it will stand as no surprise if Twilight only wants this moment to be special knowing that the princesses will no longer rule Equestria. Or maybe she's just worried if this celebration doesn't meet the expectations of the princesses (Especially her esteemed mentor), how would it be when she ascends to take the throne and when the time comes for her to be the 'mane' attraction of this Celebration that it goes wrong for her?

Finally, we move from Twilight Sparkle and onto a Fluttershy episode when her relationship with Angel Bunny is hitting the skids, though if you ask me given how much Angel has often bullied this sensitive Pegasus it was bound to happen eventually. This episode will reintroduce Zecora into the series with a potion that's meant to help them understand each other, though I don't know if that refers to a potion where Fluttershy and Angel can understand each other's 'languages' or if it's one of those 'Freaky Friday' moments where the two apparently switch bodies to get a better understand of 'each other'. As for me, I've never really liked Angel Bunny out of all the pets I've seen in the show (I'd say he's just 'barely' below Opal, who's so stereotypical as a cat that she makes mine a true 'angel'... Which she is by the by) and I will admit I get a chuckle when he's eating crow after being put in his place for bullying Fluttershy. Going deeper into this relationship, sometimes I wonder what Fluttershy ever 'saw' in Angel Bunny or why up till now she's put up with that little monster (As if he makes Mr. Moochick's bunny look like a saint). Maybe this episode will help me in gaining some new perspective as to why this relationship between owner and pet was special for all these years or maybe it'll only prove to me that no one can ever truly change even if they 'could' learn from each other, but the show has had a strong start since this season began so I can only imagine that whomever is putting this together must feel a personal connection to this story (But I digress).

But the big question still remains: What do YOU think? Be sure to leave a comment below at your earliest convenience.

Until then, this is the Dramamaster829... Signing off!

That first one worries me. As for pinkie I have to ask how do you feel about her

Don’t get me wrong, I have no issue with Pinkie. Though she is very random, it’s fun wondering what she’s going to do next. She’s fun, energetic, and when she’s not her usual party pony self she does care about other ponies and everything she does is mainly because she cares. Now there are some episodes where I feel she goes a bit too far like making up that song about Zecora, scaring Fluttershy when she was having stage fright, interrupting her friends activities with that weird yak instrument thing, or that one time she desperately tried to get her friends to like Maud with an obstacle course that proved dangerous for her own well being.

Pinkie Pie does have her ups and downs but she is still fun to watch now and then especially when she breaks the fourth wall.

Those are fair point.

Why thank you. If anything, I just wanted to make it clear that I don't 'hate' Pinkie Pie nor do I dislike her.

But she's just like all the other members of the Mane Six, just as I described Starlight Glimmer: A 'flawed' protagonist. She too makes mistake, she too has a tendency of going too far, but at least like her friends she tries to work hard to make it right.
