    Seeking her Crown: Update 3/3

    Good evening, fillies and gentlecolts!

I hope the day is finding you well. As usual, I'll be starting with the current word count for the upcoming sequel. And, as usual, it's absolutely abysmal.
Start of 7/27 Shift Goal: 13,000 words
Actual 7/27 Word Count: 2,798 words (10,203 word deficit)

    Seeking her Crown: Update 2.1/3

Quick head's up. While I've been moving ahead pretty well with getting a lot of the key story points written down, I've actually not managed to get the first chapter to a publishable point just yet. So, the hopeful early release this coming Saturday won't be happening. See y'all Monday night for the last pre-release update.

    Seeking her Crown: Update 2/3

    Good evening, fillies and gentlecolts!

Let's go ahead and get the shaming out of the way. Another week is down, and it's another week with massively sub-par returns on word count to report. Here's the numbers:
Start of 7/20 Shift Goal: 8,000 words
Actual Word Count: 2,192 words (5,808 word deficit)

Is it dead? Is there hope? What's going on? We want to know! · 8:45am Jun 4th, 2019

Alright, fillies and gentlecolts, I'm not too sure how many people this will reach. But, I not many of you enjoyed reading Per Speculum in Aenigmate and are probably hoping to see more. One of two of you many have noticed that I *finally* broke down and changed the status from "Incomplete" to "On Hiatus". Those of you that have, I do not wish for you to panic. The status change is intentional, I am NOT cancelling this story. The truth is, I have a tendency to pants my stories, writing enough to make sure I am contend with the material I have written and throwing it out to be read and enjoyed. But, when things change mentally or emotionally, I tend to get a bit winded and just don't have the drive to write any more.

What does that have to do with the stories now? Well, the thing is, back in March, I got back in touch with "my muse". We had about two months of joyous story writing together on various ideas that came to us, none of which were actually MLP related. So don't expect to be seeing any of those stories any time soon. Last month, however, our connection was once again severed. As such, I'm back to looking at doing some solo writing once more to fill my time. And, well, I've read what I posted previously and am not pleased. There's been a few spelling errors that are jumping out at me and bugging me. A grammar issue here or there as well. So, I'm going to take the time to go back and edit my previous chapters. There won't be any story changes, so there's no need to re-read them. Just make myself pleased with my work so that when I go back to re-read as I continue the story forward, I'm not instantly miffed by a spelling error that ruins my mood or something like that.

And I do intend to continue! As I said, the story is NOT cancelled. Once I finish the edits, I'll be pushing forward to finish the story. Once I have a bit of a buffer of new chapters, this "mid-season break" will be lifted and the story will continue once more. So please, bear with me a while long. No promises, but it would be kind of nice to change the status back to "Incomplete" in time for this year's Summer Sun Celebration...

Glad to hear the story isn't dead! Furthermore, I'm sorry to know your "muse" has left you again, but at least you have memories of the two lovely months that you can cherish.

Let me know if you need any help with the edits or if you just want to chat :raritywink:

So many stories die in hiatus....

I wish I could deny that statement, but I know it's true. I hope... HOPE... that the fact that I'm explaining things and intentionally putting the story on hiatus, at least I can give everyone a bit of hope that the story will be returning. At least more than keeping it marked as "Incomplete" ad infinitum. I mean, there's so much more story I want to tell than just what I had set aside for Per Speculum. So... for now, hooves crossed! :unsuresweetie:

I must say i have ONLY ONE story, which return from hiatus and have proper end.
