Hey y'all. I don't usually make blog posts, but I figured this is something I'd like some input on from those of you who care to follow my content.
I've got a dilemma of sorts. I've got lots of story ideas and concepts that I think are really neat, but no clue as to which of them I should write. So I figured why not ask you guys?
Just comment down below which of these you'd personally like to read!
1. Iron Mare: Delta Vee, after receiving a stroke of inspiration in her junk yard, slowly rebuilds herself and becomes a major player in the military-industrial complex of Equestria. However, she finds her world crashing down when she, along with her prospective buyers, are ambushed during a field test of a new and experimental rocket. Essentially MLP Iron Man, with many changes and such.
2. Twisted Eclipse: Apple Wood and his wife, Sunny Day, were investigating a series of disappearances near the Everfree forest. Now, his wife's been kidnapped, he's got a sprained hind leg, and there are strange ponies hunting him down. It will take all of his cunning and wit to survive the night, and most importantly, save his wife. Heavy horror, Outlast esque scenery and scares. Would have lots of, quite frankly, fucked up descriptions of gore and violence of all natures.
3. Nightmare: Evening Shade liked to think she was a normal pony. She pays her taxes, goes to a party every so often, and goes bar crawling with her friends. Sure, she wasn't the most well-off pony in Canterlot, but she made do.
Now? She isn't sure what to think. After accidentally bumping into a piece of Nightmare Moon's armor and being possessed by the spirit trapped within it, she's become torn between her duty as a citizen of Equestria, and her morality and empathy towards this strange new being she is now sharing every moment of her life with.
With twists and turns around every corner and enemies lurking in the shadows, it will take everything she's got to keep her newfound secret while remaining true to who she is as a pony. Loosely based off of Venom, this fic would explore the relationship between the Nightmare and its host pony as well as general superhero antics.
4. Horizons: Brewing Storm: 300 years after the show, the solar system has been colonized by the species of Equus, but tensions are coming to a boil. The United Nations of Equus lay stagnant, with the overpopulation crisis bringing about mass job and food shortages, and their navy outdated by decades, perhaps even a century, and their planet is slowly dying. Their former colony on Venusia, now an independent and incredibly powerful nation in its own right, have been gearing up for war against their former benefactors ever since they gained their independence. The asteroid belts are slaved over tirelessly by impoverished Changeling workers, Venusia and The U.N.E reaping every pound of ore harvested from their toil, and many are now preparing to break free of their chains.
All it will take is a single spark to send the solar system into a full fledged war. Hard Sci-Fi, takes a lot of inspiration from The Expanse. Would likely be a multi-author project, if I could gather the support.

It certainly does seem to have a lot of potential. I figure that if I get a different author for each of the differing casts it would help to keep things refreshing and interesting, as it would be set up as a split P.O.V story. Here's an example.
Ch.1 (Main Protagonists P.O.V)
Ch.2 (U.N.E P.O.V)
Ch.3 (Venusian/Changeling P.O.V)
The story would certainly be an exercise in world building and character creation, which is why I'd even want multiple authors on the project to begin with.
The Nightmare one is my preference.

I've already got a little bit written for it, so I may post Ch.1 and see how it does.

Like I said to Lurks, I'll go ahead and polish up Ch.1 and get it uploaded soon. I'll see if I want to continue writing it after that.

Totally could. Just took a look at a few of your stories and that's some good stuff right there. Good work! I'll let ya know if I do end up wanting to write it.
Will admit, Horizons: Brewing Storm does sound interesting. Hard Sci-Fi fics are hard to come by on here so I would most definitely read it.
