Dear Journal,
I returned to the Hammer’s blacksmith shop to retrieve my armor. From the looks on their faces, I think they worked all night on it! In any case, it really didn’t look any different. But when they explained to me what was on the inside, it blew my mind! Hand cannons, cybernetics, thermal regulators and even an enchantment on the left hand to place sigils! There won’t be anything I can’t do with this now!
Platinum Valve linked the armor to my ring and began channeling the magic required to bring the other enchantments fully online. A few moment after she started, there were the sounds of trouble outside! I ran toward the door, but the Hammers stopped me! Insisting I should wait for my armor to be ready, they donned armor themselves and went to help!
Needless to say, the next twenty minutes… felt like twenty hours! Luckily I got there just in time to help with yet another much larger threat! Lucky for us, even the Heroes of Light had shown up!
Instead of an Ursa Minor like I thought I heard, this must have been its mom, and Ursa Major! Staring at it felt like facing down the Dragon Lord again! Only this beast was huge, angry AND unreasonable! Never mind, journal, it was JUST like Ember’s father!
It shot at it with my Hand Cannon to draw its attention away from the Town Hall and my friends! While I did so, Twilight and the others tried to come up with a plan! Rarity talked about being able to talk to it. So I told them to set up the speakers used for speeches and do just that! Fluttershy wasn’t a fan of the idea, but really had no choice! For a few moments it seemed to work! Until she brought up the suggestion that the beast eat a snack! I must have looked like something tasty then, because it came after me again!
Failing at the original plan, I yelled for them to turn the volume up, aim the speakers at the beasts head and have Rarity scream! As she lacked the proper motivation, I threatened to lure the best toward her favorite place, the Ponyville Day Spa! That set off hysterics unlike any other! The creature fell to the ground holding its ears before running back into the Everfree Forest!
It was then that the Heroes of Light asked the mayor if they could make a speech. Mayor Mare agreed and they took to the podium. Much to everyone’s surprise, it was a resignation speech! The pair proclaimed me the new Hero of Light and gave me their armor’s insignias to bring to the princesses. One of them placed a strange looking sigil on the ground as they gave me a vote of confidence before stepping onto it and vanishing.
I have to say, having the whole town look to you at once is kinda nerve wracking! The uncertainty of what had just happened might have been too much for them! I did my best to alleviate their fears before stepping down to bring the sigils to Canterlot.
