Dear Journal,
Sorry I haven't been writing in you lately, but doing odd jobs around town isn't exactly what I would call noteworthy. That all changed today as I accepted my first red writ!
It was a job locating a missing filly. While it didn't offer much, somehow I knew I had to help! I walked to the address listed on the writ and met with the parents. A couple named Steel Hammer and Silver Hammer. Still getting used to these strange pony names! Anyways, somehow their daughter was able to shrink herself down with a spells she had perfected! While I know very little on the subject, I'm still impressed at what she was able to accomplish! Fortunately, Twilight was able to figure out a counter spell in short order and the filly was returned to normal size! We returned to the living room so the could thank and pay me. Looking around, I could tell that what had been written on the writ was indeed accurate! Ten bits really was all they could spare! Wadding up the writ and throwing it away, I refused payment for the job.
As Twilight and I left, I mentioned that I was interested in becoming a permanent resident of Equestria. Perhaps the princesses will allow it! After all, it's not like I have much to go home to anyways...
