Sorry for no updates, as usual (at this point). I've been having some real life stuff happen. TL;DR is that my grandpa is basically nonfunctional from cancer, my grandmother is overworking herself to compensate, and I'm the glue keeping them from falling apart at the moment.
Here are a few updates concerning my fics.
I'm canceling The Day The Show Reset.
To put it simply, the reason a third chapter never came is because this story suffered from scope creep. I initially only wanted to publish the one chapter but was peer-pressured into publishing more by its absurd popularity. By the time I got to chapter 2, it was already going to be rather lengthy, and then my ideas just kept getting bigger and bigger. Eventually, the project got so big that even thinking about it made me want to quit. And to be honest, I don't WANT to salvage this story. Maybe, someday, I'll return to the same concept and write a really good story with it. But for now, I simply don't want to put in the time and effort to salvage the project. If someone else wants to
Chaotic Cute WILL be getting a new chapter!
For fans of my take on Screwball, worry not! The Adoption Arc WILL continue, but I need to rewrite a little bit of the last chapter first. Nothing major, but I've reconsidered which ponies and how many ponies Screwball will have to choose from as her new guardians.

I have 3 more stories in the works in addition to the next chapter of Chaotic Cute. There's no guarantee any of them will make it to the publishing phase, but here's a quick run-down:
Apple Rot
A pony wakes up in the Everfree with no memory of how she got there. When she finally meets another pony, that pony is terrified of her. She doesn't know why other ponies are scared of her. She also doesn't know why they keep calling her "Apple Bloom", but apparently this "Apple Bloom" is supposed to have died some time ago...
Death is a Kindness
Fluttershy dies of a mysterious illness and, rather unexpectedly, takes up the mantle of Death. Unfortunately, this leaves Equestria one Element short just before a new and world-ending threat shows up.
Dreamliner
A plane's unfortunate accident results in over 200 people dying. Circumstantially simultaneous to that tragedy, 787.8 seconds to the north of tomorrow, a queen's good fortune results in over 200 new changeling grubs being laid. These two events are connected, though only the grubs seem to know this. The caretakers, meanwhile, are baffled by the new clutch's array of odd, un-grublike behavior...

To be entirely fair, I should have trusted my gut and stuck to it being a one shot like I originally wanted.
While I understand your reason, I couldn't help but feel sad that such an interesting story will be incomplete.

TBH, if a better writer than I wishes to do the concept justice, I'd be supportive.
All 3 of those extra stories sounded quite nice. too bad they probably won't be written. Oh well, I hope your folks get kinda better.
