Mail call!
This is the only extant copy of The Flash Sentry Papers in dead-tree form thus far. We'll call it a "proof" copy, in that it's an experimental one I can go over one last time to look for typos or formatting errors or other, inevitable screw ups (I've spotted at least two already). Also that's likely not going to be the final cover-- for whatever reason, Lulu didn't like the files iisaw put together for the cover, so ... yeah. Gonna have to work on that.
Still, it's progress, right? It's really kind of surreal to hold my own words in hand-- even if it's fanfic, it's still proof that I can string words together into a coherent narrative ... not to mention it gives me a pretty solid idea of how many words work out to how many pages in publishing and stuff. So, like, lessons learned or something, right?
So yeah! I've got some editing to do, and my goal is to have the final order put in by the end of June, if not sooner. Which theoretically gives me plenty of time to get a dozen or so copies printed for The Bronycon Bookstore (or whatever the non-copyright infringing name for it we came up with was). And then obviously I'll be doomed to disappointment when everybody picks up other books that are porn about Luna or Derpy or some other character that people actually, you know. Like. :)
Ooh, centered page numbers. That'd certainly address the issues I heard about from Georg.
Also, lovely proof copy.
OH, please how much are these books going for and can I order one?
Well, the interior looks great! (Yay, footnotes!) I PMed you about the cover.
The cover may not be final, but I still like it. It's got the look of a slightly worn paperback you find as a child during the summer vacation, when it's raining and you're bored, and start reading for the lack of anything better to do... and end up becoming a fan of a book series for life.
I am looking forward to getting the chance to buy this.
This looks intriguing!
