I watched the new episode and all I can say is WOW! This episode was spectacular. I thought seeing an episode that focused solely on the villains was amazing. After seeing this episode I am thinking more than I was before that Cozy Glow, Tirek and Chrysalis will turn on Grogar at some point. What I found hilarious and adorable was how Cozy Glow kept on saying that Grogar put her in charge, typical Cozy for you. It also seems like she doesn't have any doubts that those three could come up with a better plan that Grogar could.
Now one thing that did shock me and caused me to realize that perhaps there is more trust between them than even I thought possible. Cozy's suggestion, Tirek take Chrysi's magic temporarily was naturally something that Chrysalis opposed until Tirek promised to give it back. She gave him the trust to allow him to take it and once Cozy got in the cave, got Grogar's bell and returned, Tirek was true to his word and gave Chrysalis her magic back. Now this is key to any group that is going to work together, trust.
Regarding the ending, I would think Grogar would be able to sense the presence of his bell but I do think that he will discover it before too long and when he does, his subordinates will have hell to pay. I could honestly see him punish them in one way or another and then cast them out. I could then see them doing the unthinkable, spilling the beans to Celestia perhaps but I'm pretty sure that out of the three, it will be hardest for Chrysalis since she will likely always want to get back at Starlight in one way or another....and I do think out of the three, Cozy Glow will manage to be their leader given her manipulative and strong willed personality.
Also, I absolutely loved the song. You don't get villain songs all that often. The last one I remember was "This Day Aria" given villains don't sing all that often and this one is leaps and bounds ahead of it.
I haven't given any episodes a synopsis or a rating in a while but with this one, I am giving it a 100/100. This one was excellently written and seeing Cozy seem to take charge and get her new "friends" to realize that teamwork was important was good to see. Also, that foreshadowing at the end, I know it will lead to something exciting and hopefully epic. I do hope we will see more of these four before the finale because they make things very exciting. I will likely get a lot of people bitching over this but seeing an episode focusing on other characters outside of any of the mane seven was a nice change of pace.
The song was not leaps and bounds ahead of This Day Aria. This Day Aria isn't just the best villain song, it's the best song in the entire show. Also, there was In Our Town and a ton of EQG villain songs.

I suppose I really never saw Starlight as all that bad, just misguided and I focus more on the show than I do Equestria Girls....I suppose I think of it as its own separate entity since it isn't FiM.

It was still a villain song. I see, but it is kinda canon to FIM thanks to the season 7 finale.

I see where you're coming from but I don't pay that much attention to Equestria Girls. The only thing of them that I have ever watched more than once was Rainbow Rocks and that was solely because I like the Dazzlings.....Aria Blaze in particular.
You know, during this point, I started to notice something else between those three. And I heard about some people in the comments section below the video. At this point, I'm starting to question: If Tirek gets shipped with Chrysalis, does that make Cozy their daughter?
