My Little Pony Season 9 News 04/28/2019 · 2:00pm Apr 28th, 2019

GOOD MORNING, FIMFICTION FANATICS!!! This is the Dramamaster829; Critic, Actor, Writer, Motivational Speaker, and Occasional Singer, keeping you up to date with the latest news for the final season of MLP! Now before anyone figures, the review for yesterday's episode won't be out till later this week if anything there's still so much of it I'll need to cover while giving the fans some time to see the episode. But today, three major announcements in regards for this series has been released with three new plots set to occur during the upcoming few weeks. And while they can neither confirm or deny that Fluttershy or Applejack will have any part in those particular episodes, the show may surprise us with a brief appearance or two so we'll have to wait and see.

Anyways, to get this blog on the way, we dive right into the first of our three announcements:

Student Counsel

According to the synopsis, Starlight Glimmer's role as school counselor is put to the test after encouragement to the students to discuss 'anything' with her at 'anytime' comes back to haunt her as the task starts to become 'overwhelming'. Now, having said all this, it's not surprising that Starlight Glimmer would be caught in an episode like this and in several episodes that have featured her in a starring role there is a problem she is sometimes the cause of and now she has to fix it (And most episodes involve her use of magic). At the same time, it can't be ignored that Starlight Glimmer herself has kind of been in the shadows during these recent episodes and somewhere down the line she's bound to have a starring episode at some point this season. Plus we have to wonder, what with the students getting involved, if this is a case of Starlight trying to use her position to please everybody or there are some issues that she cannot handle alone. All we can do at this point is sit and ponder as to what calamity Starlight has found herself in and if indeed there is a lesson to learn from this experience (Or at least one we can relate to).

The Last Crusade

No folks, we're not talking about that 'Indiana Jones' movie with the Holy Grail, no this episode involves the Cutie Mark Crusaders who find their friendship at risk when unexpected victors to Ponyville threaten to break up the trio forever. It's funny how this season goes on and on about everything coming to an end, yet for many fans it would be heartbreaking if something so terrible were to happen and suddenly the three fillies we've grown to love may not want to do things together. Course, this topic has been dived on before when Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle eventually got their cutie marks and it involved a desire to do other things besides crusading yet they made it clear they'd be friends forever. Which begs the question, just whom are these 'visitors' that could be made partly responsible and we could name many candidates: The return of Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon or perhaps even a character we haven't seen in a 'long' time like Babs Seed or Twist. Hopefully as fans we can hope the matter will eventually be resolved to prove that nothing could ever break this trio apart, but perhaps once we eventually uncover some clues as to the real story behind this misunderstanding... Maybe things will make sense.

Between Dark and Dawn

If we thought the potential retirement of the Royal Sisters wasn't big enough, now once again Twilight and her friends are put in a position to run the castle while the princesses get to enjoy a long deserved vacation just between sisters. Now late this season we've seen the Princess of Friendship 'Twilighting' over the stress of one day being responsible for ALL of Equestria, but we forget that this isn't as bad as when Spike abused Twilight's position in that 'Princess Spike' episode. Anyway, with the princesses gone, our group of friends will have to learn there's more to the job than just meeting with counsels, signing documents, and all the typical royal duties (Somepony will have to raise the sun and moon if the princesses are taking a break). If we know anything about the royal sisters, they've been constantly testing Twilight Sparkle waiting for the moment for her to embrace her destiny of being the new ruler and this may be a test for the Mane Six that rather than running the kingdom Celestia & Luna did, they must learn to rule in their own way. Now they still got a ways to go before they officially take the sisters' throne, but the worse that could happen is if they let the position get to their heads (Especially there is still the matter of a sinister force they must be ready to face).

While we once again know very little as to what these three episodes have to offer, we hope the season continues to build strong with episodes that makes the most of their cast. Who knows what surprises are in store? If any more musical numbers will be set to take place? Or if there are any new characters still yet to be introduced? Regardless of how these episodes turn out, we can only hope that it'll be a fun trio of stories guaranteed to give the fanbase a solid time.

But the big question remains fellow readers: What do YOU think? Be sure to leave a comment below and lay down your thoughts.

Until then, this is the Dramamaster829... Signing off!

Stay tuned later this week for the upcoming episode review of 'The Point of No Return'.
