Wow... Ok guys, I've been looking over these entries and...
I don't know how I'm going to pick any winners.
All of these are really good in their own way. I feel like I might just scrap the "single-winner" concept of a contest and go with an "everypony wins" type ending here. Honestly, everypony worked hard, and I actually like those sorts of scenarios better, but I'll have to figure out what I'm going to do to make that meaningful at some point...
I'll be reading through and writing up full analyses on each story over the next week or so, so be on the lookout for that. I'll make a final decision on what to do as far as "winners" go after I've done that...

Normally, I'd go "boo" over the idea of "Everybody wins", but given the small pool of entrants, the fact the contest was casual to begin with, and that you're completely right about them all standing on their own merits in unique but comparable ways makes me inclined to agree with that decision

Honestly, there is no prize, especially since when I asked Zach if he wanted to offer a reading of the winner, he said he was already going to do multiple readings from these. I thought maybe doing a detailed review or something might be substantial, but now I want to do that for all of them, because they are all good, or at least very unique. They all stand on their own merits, and don't go into the meaningless Gory Snuffy territory that plagues the genre...
