Hello there everypony!
Just wanted to do an 'I'm alive' update. Yes...I'm alive. Haven't walked away from the fandom or anything like that. Actually looking quite well forward to Bronycon again this year, and always happy to encounter random folks who like to talk fic.
But anyway, I've been silent on producing new fics for awhile, I know. I'm still working on the manuscript for my next novel, which has been waiting in the wings for far too long, but I'm not quite where I'd hoped to be by now in terms of progress. That is to say, I'm about 35k in, which is around a third or so of what I'm projecting. Maybe I'm not being fair about how long it ought to take to produce something like this, but I tend to work fast, and I don't feel that I've been fast enough. It can be difficult for my momentum to suddenly switch gears between projects, so I need to figure out what I plan to do about ficcing in the near future.
Meanwhile, life has hit me with a few curveballs lately that have occupied a lot of my time. With my father no longer able to care for himself and nosy neighbors causing trouble for my family, I've had to put my attention on other things. Rest assured I'm still here.
