So what next?

It dawned on me yesterday when I put the final words in Temor, that I didn't have any ongoing story to complete. The Last of the Dark Ponies is fully written as well and both stories are now being edited and slowly published. Both stories will probably have the "complete" status by the end of April, beginning of May.

So the age old questions comes, what next? What are my plans now?

Initially, after the Last of the Dark Ponies, I planned to take a break from the Equestria Tales series. The Last of the Dark Ponies completes a story arch, Temor is a dark mirror on what could have been had things happened a little differently, as was alluded to in Possession in the Crystal Empire.

Well, turns out I'm not done at all with the Equestria Tales series. I'm already drafting up a sequel to The Last of the Dark Ponies. I already have a sequel idea for Temor.

I mainly write for fun and entertainment, I do not write political messages or commentary on today's situations, I always caution people from trying to read too much into my work, like Tolkien, I do not like allegories, at least I do not like writing them. I will however accept that others can find applicability in my stories, they might see something they recognize, even if it was never my intention to write anything topical or allegorical.

So I just go where the ideas take me. Down the road, I might get an idea for a story that doesn't feature King Sombra or Private Iceland or the others but right now, I'll just see where it goes.

I don't want to force myself to write a story that in the end I didn't enjoy writing, like happened with In old Manehattan.
