    IN WHICH HAPPY BOXING DAY!
I meant to post while it was still Christmas (CST) but as usual I’m late. I hope my few remaining readers had a lovely holiday! Here’s a song that’s been in my head lately.

Chuu is one of those who, according to her coworkers, really is just a ball of sunshine. Follow me past the jump.

    IN WHICH I LACK BURRITOS
No, really. I haven’t been by my local burrito place in a long time, partly due to my mother, so I haven’t been able to get good inspiration for another Burritoverse story. Sorry. For now, enjoy my favorite J-Pop group NiziU.

    IN WHICH SCREW DEADLINES
Hey, y’all. Been a few months. Whoever reads this, just wanted to show I’m not dead yet. Do you know NMIXX? You should.

Right. Now, where was I? Oh, I’m sure I’ll figure it out below the jump.

IN WHICH I LIED TO YOU (SORRY)
So… Turns out it's been a full year (!) since my last story. I promised a couple stories in between but failed to finish them. But at least I got my annual Mayor Mare story in. Have some Twice as penance.

More past the jump, if you're willing.

IN WHICH I LIVE… SORT OF
Hi. Been awhile. Not sure who's left to read this. I just now realized I accidentally added an "L" on my last 3 posts. Oops. Well, enjoy Sir Elton.

So, after fixing my screw-up, let's get to the meat of why I'm writing, if you'll pass the jump with me.

IN WHICH APRIL
Greetings, eager young space cadets. In place of Japanese stuff, I present to you Oingo Boingo.

Danny Elfman is a genius. I am not, but let's go forth anyway, past the jump:

My next Chapter of Annie, Nine, the shortest, will come out as scheduled tomorrow (2019/04/18). However, depending on how much tweaking I may need to do to Chapter Ten -- which is longer than the previous three chapters combined -- I may not have it ready by Monday. So I'll apologize in advance.

During weekend nights, I tend to spend a lot of time in the gym, though that will change starting next month because the friend I made there, who's going through quite the rigmarole, has put in her two weeks and her final day is coming up. That same weekend is the annual festival in my hometown centered around our native Dogwood trees. The trees are in full bloom right now, meaning they'll probably be bloomed out by next week, which is a pity, but it's more common than not for the Dogwoods to not be in bloom one way or the other during the festival. Last year everything lined up perfectly to the point I had to take a photo just to prove it happened.

I feel a lot of guilt as I lay here in my bed and try to think of things to write for you. I really want to finish that Mayor Mare story about The Wall™, but the words simply won't come. Because I hate leaving things unfinished, that's going to be my next project.

After that, I think I might finally post Anon-A-Fix. It's a crap story, but it's absolutely vital for what my brain came up with to follow it, even though I'll probably never finish the arc due to my slow pace. I admire writers like FOME and even some of my own followers who can crank out stories quickly. It's usually a slog for me, and I can't really argue quality over quantity.

I don't have really any confidence in myself as a writer. Never did. That's why, despite starting out almost 20 years ago with original stories and cartoons, I've allowed myself to devolve into writing fanfiction. I enjoy it -- I wouldn't do it if I didn't -- but I'm desperate to get out a serious original story. I've started one, based on one of my great-uncles, but I'm not liking how it's shaping up. I may need to go back and ask my dad for more details.

Tomorrow is my mother's birthday so I'm taking her out to dinner tonight.

In the meantime, I need to go to the pharmacy and pick up my crazy-pills as I'm nearly out. But I'm tired and want to sleep even though I've been sleeping seven or more hours per night (albeit on a shifted schedule).

Word of Advice: Don't have depression and a personality disorder; it'll make people believe (correctly) that you're a lazy fuck. Well, I'm off to do the thing for the pillz. Look forward to tomorrow!

Peace out.

Happy Birthday to your mother, and glad you're keeping with the pills. If the Dogwood trees are still in bloom somehow take pics for us. Could be neat.

And tbh I'm hitting a bit of a slog myself. I might do some more writing today. I know what I'm doing, it's just I don't entirely want to do it. I kinda do, and kind of don't. I'm not super excited and the words are there and formed, so are all the ideas, but they're not coming together as simply as they should. I'm probably 1/4 of the way through the next chapter.

But I've also published 4 chapters in one month already, so I've doubled my required output. If I happen to get chapter 22 done this month it'll be a blessing but I'm not expecting it. Despite how many days are left in the month I still have 11 more sections of this chapter to write (so far I've written 4). It's supposed to be a chapter detailing Fear's downtime, how he chooses to spend time with his friends and family.

I always wanted chapters like those in the stories I've read in the past because it's nice to just see the main character RELAXING and HAVING GOOD TIMES you know? Instead of just constantly falling into conflict all the time.

Edit: I feel that way about epilogues too. A lot of epilogues don't feel as fleshed out as they could be because they just don't... hit that sweet spot of "everything's okay until the next big adventure." They don't get across the message of the characters are having fun and prospering.
