Contemplating a cancellation for pointlessness · 3:51pm Apr 17th, 2019
Yeah. I'm getting to that point. Considering cancelling a story not for lack of plot, not for lack of ideas... but for lack of reception.
I've always seen Diamond as more of a problem child. Especially watching that episode where her problem is solved as "not knowing another way", her mother seems very abusive towards her. And abusive parents is a real problem that can lead to bullying... and future abusive parents. No really, it's been studied.
The Stronger Tiara is the story of how that Diamond Tiara rose above that problem, grew stronger. Fought back, even.
The Stronger Tiara has nine chapters (eight before today), and twelve comments. Exactly 6 of my 26 other stories (not counting Side Stories of Crazy, that collection of castoffs that doesn't count) have fewer comments than this; these are, in chronological order:
BIE: Beginnings, 9 comments, cancelled for plotlessness after 1 chapter.
A Different Race, 7 comments, same as prior.
From Pouch to Pockets, 11 comments, same as prior.
The Equestrian Brigade, 4 comments, cancelled for plotlessness after a whopping two chapters.
The Element of the Island, 6 comments, 8 chapters (including prologue). It's in a similar position as The Stronger Tiara.
Featureless, 4 comments, a maybe-just-a-1-shot.
So what do you think? Is the story worth reading?
I think the real question is, is the story worth writing?

Of course it is. As in, of course that's the real question.
But if it's worth reading, it's automatically worth writing.
If it's not worth reading... that makes it a lot harder to be worth writing. Not impossible- but a lot harder.
Then there's the part where "Is it worth writing" is a question for me to answer... but "is it worth reading" is a question you can answer to help me decide how to answer the first.
I liked it. It matters more if you want to write it and see where it goes. I forget if you set up a way to get paid for these, so if not...

Well technically I did, but flat noone is actually clicking on it, so it's not like it really matters.
And thank you. I like it as well- as a matter of fact, I've been working on one of them stream-of-thought thingies that are so useful in writing, so it's almost got two full chapters waiting now.
