    Help Katie Bouman

I normally talk about animals or movies I like, but I learned something terrible happened to someone, so this blog is for them. You may not have heard this, but recently scientists have been able to create a picture of a black hole. This has been a scientific project that has lasted for nearly a century! Katie Bouman is a graduate student who led one of the four teams that helped combine

My thoughts on My Little Pony: the Movie

I honestly thought the movie didn't go very deep into the story. The whole thing with Twilight trying to be a good princess was so season 5. And where was Shining Armor and Flurry Heart? Did they stay behind to run the Crystal Empire? I know Celestia told Twilight to find the Queen of the Hippogriffs, but why didn't they go to their other allies. They're friends with griffons, dragons, yaks, and

Things to Love About Painted Wolves

Painted wolves (or you can call them African wild dogs) are probably the kindest predators I ever heard. One thing, there related to domesticated dogs and wolves, so it's hard to not like them for that. Hating dogs is like hating loyalty, or companionship, or things that are cute. Speaking of, their pups are so cute, that you would gasp at the first sight of them. Their beautiful coats are the

    Accuracies on Velociraptor

We all know the big, fleet-footed Velociraptor that terrorized people in the Jurassic Park movies. With their razor sharp claws and wicked speed, they caused more deaths than any other dinosaurs in the Jurassic Park franchise. They had advanced intelligence, allowing them to open doors and set traps. The only thing more terrifying than a Velociraptor is a pack of Velociraptors. The packs in the

Hopes of WoF: The Poison Jungle

I am personally very excited for the thirteenth book of Wings of Fire, where we will learn about how the LeafWings survived after the Tree Wars and their culture. Sundew will be the first LeafWing point of view. I thinking she will be like Winter's point of view, where she has to choose between living to her parent's expectations or helping her friends. I also hope to meet Sundew's love interest

Help Katie Bouman · 10:47pm Apr 15th, 2019

I normally talk about animals or movies I like, but I learned something terrible happened to someone, so this blog is for them. You may not have heard this, but recently scientists have been able to create a picture of a black hole. This has been a scientific project that has lasted for nearly a century! Katie Bouman is a graduate student who led one of the four teams that helped combine centuries worth of data into a clear picture. It's not often a women scientists is involved in a discovery this big.
Unfortunately, Katie isn't getting the credit she deserves. After the discovery was published, an internet troll set up several Twitter accounts in her name and posted awful things to Katie's coworkers. Katie was forced to shut down her phone, but it was not enough. Her reputation is being destroyed because of a lie. This is a good example to always look twice on the Internet. All those bad things about Katie Bouman aren't true. She's a genius.
