    Rising Flames Progress Update

Just letting everybody know, it's going to be a bit longer before Chapter Three drops. In addition to refining our editing process to be more collaborative (I was letting my mindset from my game development work bleed into here, when my priorities with Rising Flames are very different), Spell Check and applezombi pointed out a bunch of issues with my outline that I've been diligently

My new company: Thought Prism Games!

I’ve got an exciting announcement today! Some of you might have been wondering what I’ve been up to outside the fanfic front, and now I’m ready to share at last. I am proud to announce and launch my new card game company: Though Prism Games! I have two fresh releases: Carddrop, a nifty little dexterity game to enjoy with regular playing cards, and Veebar, a fun two-player experience for all ages.

    Rising Flames Progress Update

I'm too tired to write good fiction or solve complex puzzles right now (Void Stranger is an amazing game btw, highly recommended for anyone who likes mindbenders), so I figured I'd give everybody an update on how the story was coming along. I'm almost halfway done with drafts for all the chapters. Chapter Four would have turned our very

On today's episode (Uprooted) · 8:28pm Apr 13th, 2019

Yeah… it was kinda bad. Not Spike at your Service bad, but still. There were a lot of problems, both regarding the overall narrative and the little details. I shall convey my thoughts as a bulleted list because I’m lazy. Spoilers, obviously, so have a page break.

  • The permission slip scene was entirely unnecessary, and not very funny. Moreover, it screwed up Silverstream’s parentage. Apparently, she’s Terramar’s brother, which was never mentioned or implied as far as I can recall. She was accompanied to the school by General Sea Spray, who looks similar to Sky Beak but is certainly not the same character.
  • The Young Six spend half the episode arguing like idiots even though they’ve more than proved they know how friendship works on a basic level at this point. And Yona explaining what the others are doing wrong only works the second time for some reason, despite her argument being largely identical.
  • Sandbar, bless his heart, tries to grow a normal tree in a cave. I’m pretty sure that not even earth pony magic can make a tree grow out of solid rock in zero sunlight conditions.
  • Where was Starswirl in all this? Until the end of the episode, the Everfree should have been running haywire still. So how did the Young Six even make it to the center of the forest without being ripped to shreds? As for the two random tourist ponies who showed up to be hawked at by Gallus, I’m even more confused. I did get an idea for a story out of them, though, so maybe you guys will see that soon.
  • The song was horribly generic and I found myself zoning out during the musical number, trying desperately not to cringe.
  • And of course we get more inexplicable nonsense from tree at the end, this time in the service of blatant product placement for the Harmony Clubhouse Playset, or whatever they’re calling it. The Mane Six sending out that friendship shockwave in the opener wasn’t enough to restore the tree, but a hastily constructed hovel of broken crystal, wood, and glue was?

You would not believe what happened when I watched the BN stream for of this episode: During when the episode was playing, the EAS system for BN King went off during the episode, which caused some to miss huge chunks of dialogue.

I will tell you though..... that has to be the most rarest thing that has ever happened for any MLP stream!
