So, I don't do this very often. I think I've done it maybe twice in the past year, including this time. However, I feel the need to put some light onto a situation someone on here is going through.
He isn't someone I know super well -- he's not really even someone I've spoken to all that often -- but he is the editor/co-writer of one of the most well-known fics for a particular ship: Vinyl and Octavia: University Days. I'm talking about Steel Resolve folks. If you don't know the name, know that he helped DawnFade make the go to Vinyl and Octavia Fic. As someone who strives to reach the level of greatness that Fic reached, I have a lot of respect for these two people. And with DawnFade off FiMFiction, I that leaves Steel; an editor whom I hold in very high regard.
Under thirty minutes ago, Steel made this blog, asking for monetary help to aid him in paying off some loans he accrued by helping his wife with a medical problem. Steel explained things in more detail in his Blog, and I won't dwell too long on the details, but while I wasn't able to financially support Steel myself (being unemployed suuuuccckkks) I still felt like the least I could do for someone I respect so highly was help bump his call for help a little and help boost his signal.
If you can help, please do; his Paypal is given on his Blog entry. If you can't, at least provide some words of support and consider spreading the word, so he can get a hand.
