No More Editing · 12:58pm Apr 7th, 2019
I've come to a hard decision recently, but I have decided that I don't want to edit for users anymore. As much as it really upsets me, because I loved writing with others on this website, it's just become something that hasn't gone down well. There have been times where I have spent 1 - 2 hours a day editing for one chapter for one story, which then becomes a painstaking task of trying to make it as good as possible for the user. After all, I want to put all my effort into it, so that it comes out well. But I send it to the user and sometimes I get a friendly thank you... and other times I can get quite hurtful and sometimes rather rude comments back.
I will not mention who these users are, to protect their privacy. I have no intention of attacking anyone. But I feel that it's not worth it if I spend a couple of hours trying to do something nice for someone and they just shrug it off as if it's nothing. It actually hurts me really badly. I love writing, and for someone to say something that may mean nothing to them but actually is rather rude to me, in the end, it's not worth it.
Thank you for everyone who chose me to edit for them; it's been a pleasure co-writing with you. I'm not personally angry with anyone; it's just what they say back that really upsets me. Thanks to my co-writers, cccvvvttt and Wand3r3r3, for their help as well. You guys are amazing.

I had bad experience with editors, so I can understand your feeling.
That is why I do a few paragraphs a day. I am glad that you are removing something stressful!

It eventually got to that situation, yeah.
I know how stressful it can get, believe me. But there was actually someone who understood the value of the editing I did & started showering thank you s like anything. It's a great feeling when you complete editing, but I understand you. You must've taken this decision for the well-being of yourself & I totally support you. Stay strong, buddy!

I didn't mean to be rude. I just... I didn't say your editing is terrible, but you did a pretty good job on your editing skills. You could edit my story if you want to.
Hello. In such a situation, you can always find a way out that will suit all users. If someone does not like how you edit the text, do not waste your time and energy on it. I'm sorry to hear that from you. Some people take things for granted. I appreciate your hard to edit articles. I suggest you talk to people who hurt you and don't discontinue the good work you have been doing. I work on web design and some of the time I don't get paid on time which is really hurtful.
