Off The Mark - The Novel · 1:46pm Apr 4th, 2019
Have you been enjoying the adventures (and misadventures) of Mark Wells? Why not read it again it again, but this time on a device guaranteed not to lose your data and is completely DRM-free! Consisting of hundreds of sheets of pulped wood with the words rendered with a black medium, it's sure to catch on. I wanted to call it a "woodpage", but someone else thought "paperback" was catchier. I dunno. What do you think?
Anyway, if you would like to purchase Book One of "Off The Mark" in this marvelous format, I encourage you to go to Amazon.com where you can purchase one and help defray the cost of cover art by the wonderful Silfoe. I mean, seriously! Who wouldn't want that gorgeous art? And you get a couple of hundred thousand words to go with it too. What a bargain!
Well, I ordered it. Had to do a search for your name, because Amazon Canada didn't recognize the title.
Woof!
I had no idea so many of your stories were available in paperback! I'm going to have to work through these, figure out which ones are from which continuity, don't I already own that one?
Since the story is still in progress, where does the novel end?

At the end of Chapter 33, in the author's note, I wrote – "END OF BOOK ONE". That's where this novel ends.
Book Two will be Chapter 34 to the final chapter and will be called "On The Mark".
I don't see the point of buying this when i can just read it here. Expecially sense I'm not usually one to reread stories.

Many people like physical copies of their favorite books. It's as simple as that.
Please, please, tell me you put in the forward somewhere that this is a PARODY of the My Little Pony cartoon series!
Otherwise, you leave yourself open to legal claims that this is an unauthorized derivative work of the copyrighted material, and Hasbro can demand you Cease and Desist immediately. And might draw untoward interest in the whole fanfiction base.
Although, if the numbers are big enough, you might get them to agree to take over publishing and pay you a royalty.
I thought Hasbro only let people sell fanfiction based off G.I. Joe and Transformers on Amazon.
I love your stories, Goldfur. My first was Transformations (Forest Tales #16 – #18), and I've since read a few others and a few here on fimfiction.
Cool that you published one of them as a book, too.
I planned on reading it sometime, this may have pushed it up my priority list :=)
Are there and copyright concerns with Hasbro when publishing an MLP story (on amazon, not free, especially)?
Next paycheck, I shall order. This can't be missed, a prize for any collection!
Get yours today!
Well, I know what I'm getting next month. With BABScon this month, I have to unfortunately wait. Looking forward to it, though.
Well... its Christmas in... April.
... yes, please!

I will be at Babscon too. First time at one of these big pony conventions in America and I am looking forward to it hugely.

I'll have to shake your hand at some point then. Be great to meet you in person. Be great to meet the guy who introduced me to Baron Engel.
I already bought it like all your other works, keep writing^^

Maybe I should wait for the two-volume set with matched coverart that continues across both books...
Mine's here, and is it ever a door-stopper! If I had not read it already, I might be too intimidated to do so!
One question through. Is the lightning bolt from Mark Wells' cutie mark supposed to be going UP from the cloud, as it is on the cover illustration?
5043750
There are TWO lightning bolts – one going up and one going down.
5043807
Ah! I did not see the other against his fur.
Ugh, gay
Also, just to let you know, you've probably inspired me into my own furry project, only involving w40k instead of Star Trek . Congratulations, you've indirectly and unintentionally birthed a train wreck, aren't you proud
