Not sure how many of you use it... · 8:12pm Mar 25th, 2019

...but Morrowind is free right now, on the Bethseda launcher.

Sorry about spelling n shortness, by the way. Water got on main keyboard, and I'm using my spare tiny travel one.

Today only, due to 25th annavirsity, so be swift.

Great game, bit dated but I highly recommend it. For those that played Skyrim and oblivion only, it plays a bit differently than what you would be used to but in my opinion has a more robust and interesting magic and stats system.

Ps, abuse the hell out of alchemy for fun and mayhem.

Really missed the spell-crafting in Skyrim. It was just so fun and exciting at higher levels.

Wouldn't have minded the exclusion quite as much if the standard spells weren't so weak-sauce in Skyrim. Really hope the next TES game listens to the feedback on that.

https://openmw.org/en/ almost done recreating the game engine so that it is more bug free and cross platform. They are starting initial work on supporting Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Fallout New Vegas. The only major things left for Morrowind is optimization and shadows.

Of course it requires the original game files.

Yeah, i jumped into the series in Oblivion. First thing i would do is get into the mages guild and start making chameleon enchanted clothes. Barring the psychic guards, it made talking to store owners then stealing right in front of then hilarious.

Not sure of the legitimacy, but going to
https://elderscrolls.bethesda.net/en/morrowind
has a little blurb at the bottom show up saying:

Get The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind through Sunday, March 31st. Log-in to Bethesda.net or create an account and redeem a free copy for PC using the code: TES25TH-MORROWIND

So yeah, apparently they bumped it up to a week.
