    My muse has returned

Finally, after 7 months since I had last touched my work, I have returned to it, reviewing and editing what I have in preparation for continuing and hopefully finishing the story (even though I have a good 45 chapters to go more likely than not).

    Come back muse, come back!

    Hello everyone

Mostly here to say I'm still around. It's a frustrating feeling knowing that my inner muse will not come back and help me work. I have the timelines figured for each of my existing works as well as the new dawn reboot (I am far too prone to them, I know), yet when it comes to writing on the chapter, my mind goes blank and then it just doesn't happen...

    Stress, so much stress

I'll spare everyone the longer drama, but a lot of things had been stressing me out lately, mostly car stuff (and a bit of in law stuff), and all of that should be behind. I may need to tighten my belt some, but considering I've been needing to lose a little weight anyway, it won't hurt.

Status update, training journals and the like! · 3:42am Mar 22nd, 2019

Greetings readers! It's about time I otherwise gave an update, let you know how things are going.

Many of you otherwise have enjoyed Soldier and Hope (and if not, please do, it's my first finished work and not too shabby). I'm also pretty sure I've mentioned that we are aiming at a sequel and I have my journals of training in the meantime. Here's a status update on that.

So for Training, we only just finished collaborating a rather important event that I had to squeeze in, that absolutely would be too short without that day that I needed Scorch's full input. Thankfully I'm making some strides around that, though it's still occasional rough going. Even got a major major event done for later on and we're working our way to get there. So progress is coming, even if it's not always the next chapter (and even though that drives me utterly bonkers to try to do XD)

For our sequel... gonna be honest, it's rough. We're absolutely loving some parts, hating others. Our strengths and weaknesses as authors are definitely coming out and while we've gotten permission from everyone we wanted (at least out of those who responded), we're realizing this needs to be a bit more better planned out and might have to redo different chunks (especially with ideas that are going into the journals that came after parts of the sequel had already been written). We also recognize that while we aren't going to represent every character perfectly, we still want to do a good job and that'll require some extra effort on our parts. This of course being influenced by how the training a princess journals turns out and then of course, the Empress fic scorch is looking at.

So that's what I've been up to, thanks in advance for your patience!

Edit 4/12:
Still working on the next training chapters. Apparently I have a knack for bringing up a lot of points or concepts that scorch hasn't had time to think about and isn't always sure what the outcome should be since it affects his worlds much more than mine. We're still working on things, as journals is really holding back our other stuff, but I'm not wanting to say something's the case about his world when it's not. Stay tuned!
