When a bullet gets out of range, does it just fall and land on the ground?
Eventually, it looses velocity and gravity takes effect. It just hits the floor.

Gravity is always taking effect. The bullet is making and, albeit very slight, arc towards the ground the moment it leaves the barrel. Thus, if a bullet is fired and doesn't hit anything, it makes a very long and graceful nose dive towards the ground.
