Exciting News for Purloined Pony Fans · 10:16pm Mar 18th, 2019

You may already have heard about this from another author you follow, but RBDash47--among his many fandom contributions, he's probably best-known for having run the Pony Fiction Vault--is starting up a new project called Ponyfeather Publishing. Its goal? To provide high-quality ebooks (and ultimately, high-quality physical copies) of select fanfiction for the discerning ponyfic reader. It's still in its infancy, but I'm happy to report that one of my stories is now available for download:

That's right, The Purloined Pony is one of the inaugural selections for PFP, and I'm pleased to announce that you can now freely download it in your preferred format!

"But Chris!" you say. "The Purloined Pony is already available on FiMFiction! With an ebook download option, even! What do I need this extra service for?"

Well, let me tell you: the text may be the same, but the reading experience is night and day. Thanks to RBD's hard work, the PFP version is an as-perfect-as-you-can-get-without-getting-sued match for the books which inspired it. Formatting, font (in applicable formats), and structure all faithfully evoke those of the classic series. Moreover, the ebook is now chock-full of gorgeous illustrations done in the same charming sketch-style that you know and presumably love. My point is, the aesthetics of the PFP version are on point, and if you have the least little nostalgic bone in your body, you'll want to see this. I mean, check out these sample pages that I totally just stole from RBD's post!

It's goddamn beautiful, is what I'm getting at.

Oh, and that bit about "ultimately, high-quality physical books?" Well, I don't want to say too much...

...Okay, I really, really want to say too much. But I'll content myself with this: if you're planning to go to Bronycon, make sure you check out Aquaman's Bronycon Bookstore. Knock on wood, there'll be some very exciting offerings there :raritywink:

Oh man, what a perfect story to get the treatment, and what a perfect way to do it. Nostalgia levels for this are through the roof. :>

Yeah, the genre sure improved since my days. Great work!
