IN WHICH THINGS WILL HAPPEN
Okay, so… I don't really feel like doing any sort of intro. Have some uncensored Green Day.
And if you'll follow me past the jump, I have some actual news for you.
I want to keep this short and sweet. On the story front, I have FINALLY finished editing my historical piece that ties in to the Mayor Mare continuity. Over three fucking years later. There are eleven chapters including prologue and epilogue and I'm thinking I'll update on Mondays and Thursdays, although I could update Mon-Wed-Fri just to get it over with. I want to hear your thoughts.
Technically I posted the first chapter of this story waaaay back in December 2015, but I took it down and rewrote it.
To be honest, I'm not expecting this story to get even close to the love Crisis Of Confidence somehow managed to earn, which I'm extremely grateful for. CoC will probably be out of the Featured Box within the next 12 hours, but I'm absolutely chuffed such a simple story managed to rank as high as it did. With a current upvote net of +132, that's over 98% approval, which is one of the highest ratings of any of my stories.
Meanwhile, I finally booked my hotel room in preparation to see Perfume in Dallas. I don't know what was holding me back psychologically, and my dilly-dallying probably cost me an extra hundred dollars at least (you wouldn't expect Sunday night to be super-expensive, but I think either the Perfume show or maybe some kind of sportsball event I don't know about is skewing room prices to twice what they are the nights before).
Sadly, by going to Dallas when I am, I'll be missing my friend and former music teacher's 80th birthday party. My mother wants me to draw her a card. Since now I know I won't be there, that gives me more incentive to actually do that.
Meanwhile, the girl who works at the gym down the street, who I've made friends with, has a paper coming up. I agreed to help her out (since, y'know, I've already done the university thing). I was supposed to meet her this morning, but I accidentally overslept my alarm. I met her at work a couple hours ago and apologized profusely. Luckily, she understood and guessed exactly what had happened. I'm going to spend tonight when I'm not working out helping her on her paper -- she didn't read the rubric closely and needs extra sources. Luckily, because I'm a packrat, I already had some on-hand.
So that's all the news that isn't. Look forward to my latest story next week.
Peace out!
Ooh, let us know what you do for the card! Looking forward to Annie more and more. :) I think two days a week is best. Gives people more time to read, and more time to stew on what's already been posted.
Further, congrats on finally getting the hotel booked! <3 :D
